We visited here at the end of December and the weather was gorgeous, easily in the high 60’s! We loved the beautiful beaches anywhere we looked with their turquoise colored waters and white sands. Gulf Islands National Seashore is a massive attraction, taking up parts of Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Wow, what a beautiful place!

This was our first visit to Florida panhandle and we loved it! Destin, Florida is an incredibly beautiful and popular place with amazing beaches and things to do. We loved the beautiful turquoise colored waters of the Gulf Coast during the end of December. Enjoy.

We visited on a chilly and windy day at the end of December. We were glad we did! Views are magnificent and walking paths are nicely paved. It was easy to find. Don’t miss it.

Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a top attraction in the city of Jacksonville and we stopped by here at the end of December. It was a warm afternoon with temperatures in the 60’s. We enjoyed walking around the area, and enjoying seeing the nice pond right in the middle of the park!

What an interesting place full of history and scenery. We stopped by here after seeing the Kingsley Plantation just few miles away. Be sure to add this place to the list of your places to explore near Jacksonville. This short lived French fort was built around 1500’s but was destroyed by the Spanish around 1565.

We visited this top attraction in Jacksonville area on a chilly December day. At least it was sunny and beautiful! We enjoyed walking through the house telling us the story of the Kingsley family, a black family who made their home there. We learned about the use of indigo to make the color of blue, and the views were amazing.

We visited here at the end of December and we really enjoyed the experience. Museum is nice, but the views from the gardens are magnificent! It is a must visit place to spend couple of hours when visiting the city. Enjoy!

This trip was taken at the end of December and we absolutely enjoyed seeing so many big cats like tigers, lions, as well as black bears and others. This is a top attraction in the city of Jacksonville and should not be missed. We were so happy we got to see these magnificent creatures up close and seeing a lion 5 feet away munching on a chicken was a great experience! Enjoy.

We visited this incredible place at the end of December. We were glad we stopped by as the scenery was otherworldly and unique. It was unlike anything we’ve ever seen before…Jekyll Island is a charming place full of things to do but this is by far the one place you must visit! Enjoy.

We visited this part of Georgia during the end of December and we were lucky we did. The Fort Frederica has so much history as a decisive battle took place in 1742 between the British and the Spanish with the Brits ultimately winning the battle. There are remnants of the fort as well as various home/store sights along the monument with nice views of the Frederica River. Enjoy!

We took this trip at the end of December right around Christmas! This was our second trip to Savannah and we had a blast. Downtown’s historic area has so many things to see while the Riverfront and City Market will keep you busy for hours, seeing historic landmarks, buildings, and people. Savannah is one of our favorite southern cities!

We stopped here mid-December but felt like a nice Spring afternoon with temperatures in the 60’s! It was nice to do some hike around the refuge and seeing beautiful birds and couple of alligators hiding in the pond! Awesome place.

What an awesome find! We loved walking on the sandbar at low tide. It felt like we were again at Death Valley National Park but with beautiful ocean just hundreds of feet away! Check it out!

W stopped by on a cool mid-December day and it was totally worth our time. We had a nice time checking out the lighthouse, walking up 178 steps all the way to the top of it for awesome views of the island. This is a very popular attraction near Savannah Georgia. Tybee Island is very popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
