i was using sim and using a ton of tricks to keep up, it was really hard trying to keep up with that thing to i can beat just about everything else in the game with the f15a

Do you have brain damage by any chance ? I assume you do judging by your statement. The thing is, the Eurofighter got a big nerf, thanks to "people" like you ( to me, US mains aren't people, they are something else, something inferior ). It's a 4.5 gen that first flew in 1994, the F-15 is a 4th gen that first flew in 1972. There's 22 whole years between their first flights. The Typhoon is lighter, smaller, with comparable thrust, i'll let you figure out what thrust to weight ratio is and how it works on a plane. It's a delta canard, a configuration that EXCELLS in slow speed one circle dogfight. The F-15A SHOULDN'T win this fight. Its not happening. But in the magical world of War Thunder, US mains are so bad, the devs have to nerf most other nation's planes, especially russian ones, while buffing US planes, to have US mains stop complaining. And give US mains ALLLLLL the planes and variants they want, even if they have the best toptier jet since the introduction of the Tomcat, while some nations like Germany didn't get anything good for a while. Not even meta, just a good, playable jet. The F-15 and F-16 CAN'T win one circle vs MiG-29 or Su-27. Yet in WT they do. The R-77 has half it's range at best. The MiG-29 and su-27 bleed too much speed while not reaching enough AoA. The F-15 K/D ratio means nothing, as it's obtained vs 2nd or 3rd gen fighters, or downgraded 4th gen export variants. In WT, you don't fight Su-7s and Mig-21s in your F-15, because it's a game, and a game has to have some balence. Yet US mains brake this balence, by refusing to play better while simultaneously having the best jets in the game, and crying for nerfs if any other nation gets something able to challenge them.

you have to pay the gaijin play test subscription its about 20$ cad not too much, I just got it yesterday and its sick being able to test out the new fighters and tanks, they even have some work in progress models of the f22 and f35 but you cant unfortunately test em

Sutton is speaking deceptively. Vs. a 2,000hr pilot, the Typhoon fight may be over in 60 seconds (most such visual fights are) but the rooky Typhoon pilot will not have a 'just that easy' job of it. There are still portions of the envelope where the F-15C is Ps dominant and you just saw one of them. With better blending the F-15 wins the vertical slash fight. Not the A so much (long since retired with pre-MSIP issues of squared and balanced wing fuel and G restrictions to about 7.33) but the C, definitely is still competitive, if flown by a veteran driver. In terms of accepting the merge pass, we don't officially do that and have not, in decades. It's negative training value to look for the hassle. Instead, it's typically some version of an open airspace block around a fixed landmark ('king of the mountain') or a butterfly opening indicative of a (really) late tally because the emphasis is always on keeping the AON separations wide so that it can be resolved as a 'battle of the helmets' as HOB fight. Here, the Typhoon has a major advantage in the form of the PIRATE but if we bury the nose beneath his sill or rise above his bow, he cannot always use it cue the SRM. Conversely, as part of the PASS program, we carry the Sniper on the centerline and so have roughly equal zoom ID on a big LCD display on those jets which carry the pod. And so, if we have datalink, we can kind've equalize because we also have AMRAAM which is a surprising good missile in the HOB fight. ASRAAM has to be respected, BVR, as it has a lot of energy but not so much once you're 3/9. AIM-9X is one of the better across-circle missiles and while, doctrinally, we don't have an easy way to support the BVR LOAL fight with it, the X-Ray seeker is still able to provide decent ID to those jets which don't have the AAQ-33 and need EOID to meet shot conditions. The reman ASRAAM, with a better seeker, is still dominant here, only for those jets which don't have a PASS. Because the HOB fight is so dangerous, you want to keep it wide so that you can skate as shoot and break away from it. Banzaing into a committed anchor is considered highly unwise and, against the Eurofighter, is one area where you are certain to lose because it is an F-16+ of horizontal turn fighter. In a vertical slash fight however, the twin tails and big wing mean we can play to Typhoon's high six and occasionally energy trap him before ruddering over and getting the gun or missile pass. The F-15 in this video does exactly this, several times, but lacks the authority the real jet has or the HMCS+HOBS missile option. BVR, if you have the 63V3, the Eagle will acquire first, against our EW, the Typhoon is shy by perhaps 10-15nm. If the Typhoon has the ECRS-2 the fight is flipped, if the Typhoon driver can use his radar's EA modes APG-82 will equalize this. Meteor is a major game changer but with 120D3 and the appropriate tactics, we can just about stand up to it. A lot depends on offboard control and tactics vs. ROE. Among the F-15C's many (FLCS blending vs. loaded turn restriction) merge fight problems is that it is a sunsetting airframe and thus not getting the major structural rework, new engines and DEWS/EPAWSS improvements needed to keep it competitive. Rather, it is subject to a series of ECP min-change bandaids which, increasingly, do not make up for the placarded, creaky, airframe and old, weak, 220E engines. The F-15EX weighs too much, thanks to its residual multi-role baseline and doesn't have the thrust vectoring to offset it's inertia in the one circle nose fight which is where the F-15C traditionally has a lot of performance advantages. With vectoring plus the enhanced 110 IPE performance, it would be first leaf competitive, depending on altitude. But we just don't usually go there, instead employing some form of a bracket, offset or pinch, often from a condition which is dependent on datalink to get shot deconfliction from a snaplock entry.

They nerfed the hell out of the Eurofighter on the dev. But this still shows how much performance it has still. Also in training events and whatnot the F-15C still holds its own against these fighters. There isnt a huge power gap like in game haha

Of course, against the F-15A the Eurofighter was perfectly fine. Against the current best flight model in game the F-16A Block 10. The Eurofighter lost 10 times out of 10, there was nothing I could do. The Rafale however did better but its a challenge.

@@sTix43_ in game it absolutely destroys. this video genuinely made me tweak as how the fuck do you lose to an f-15A. the fucking A. and your in a typhoon, that shits 13.0 and the typhoon is going to be 14.0. when ive played in the dev with a gripen C, against a german typhoon thats completely stock it nearly shredded me but cause the dude doesnt know what guns are he fired an AAM at 0.5km. and that shit snapped its nose onto me quick. if a typhoon snaps onto a gripen. slow speed. while the gripen easily shreds all f-15s how the fuck are you losing this, please just know that the j-10, euro, rafale and gripen shred the f-16a. please just learn how to use rudders, turning circles and different types of fighting (energy, turn, rate..)

@@Marin617 Yeah the Rafale currently (and I think the Eurofighter) at slow speeds will "slip" into a cobra when trying to reverse a turn. And yes please I need more damage and a bit more velocity.
