Actually it was produced by Rock Wilder... Eric got the credit for presenting the beat and mixed it but it's Rock Wilders beat... According to Erick Sermon, he "beefed-up" Wilder's beat at Mirror Image Studios and gave it to Jay-Z, which is why he was credited as the song's main producer. As for the confusion over Wilder's credit, Sermon blamed his friend Bernard who had told Jay-Z that Sermon had made the beat. From horses mouth..😂
