1) I don't think they owe you an explanation, they should have taken action faster in exchanging (which I think an exchange is the fair outcome), but they don't owe you an explanation of whats "wrong" with the watch 2) The Tudor BB GMT date wheel is a bit of a dumb call out. It was a new movement, they fixed it for future production, and they fixed it for all owners who face the issue. You can't expect every new movement to be perfect

Don't shake it to start but rather swiftly turn it clock and anticlock wise around the vertical axes. It will start instantly even with only a few windings. It's a non-issue. The customer service should have treated you more professionally though.

stop! this is embarrassing. all companies have q.c. issues at some point, nobody gets it right 100% of the time. i bought a tudor gmt knowing about the date issue and 3 months in sure enough my watch started jumping 2 days at a time, it was fixed and returned to me within 2 weeks and its been perfect since. rolex are like any other company they have warranty claims and idiot claims i.e. people who think rolex should treat them like god because they bought their product and who complain about anything. and as far as demanding a refund well you're lucky as the laws are fairly simple when it comes to this, IF a product is faulty they can repair , replace, refund in that order they were under no obligation to refund, the watch worked didn't it? ive had watches where they sometimes need a bit of movement to get them going, its a mechanical watch! go buy a quartz.
