I am interested to know why at 6:40 black ran the hoop when it was avoidable. That would enable Blue to get in the game. What am I missing?

So, just what is the intense workout regiment these athletes go through before a tournament. And when is the movie about competitive croquet coming out? I bet will be intense and thrilling. They have to be sure to include a training montage.
