Переглядів 4,5 тис.Рік тому
Took some time out today to set up my first attempt at a tarp tent! I am pretty happy with how it turned out honestly, next time I’ll make sure I use a proper steak for the middle but I think the extendable pole works well for a back yard pitch! This is using the Alton Goods 3x3m tarp and it comes with 9 pegs, ridge line 550 Paracord, and 4 guy-lines pre rigged for convenience! Try this next ti...

Hi guys, I wanted to make a quick intro vid so I can crack straight into filming my trips and fun content. Here is where you can find my blogs - huntthegirlway.com/blog/ My instagram pages are - @_madi_cate and @Mads_outdoors Fell free to let me know what you want to see or read next! Cheers for joining and following along on this journey with me!
I agree with minamal camping kit. I've got a gen3 and tenting camping at the mo. I'm contemplating a trailer sailor that will double as a camper when i can find one light enough to stay under the GVM
I love how you personalized yours in the kitchen, particularly the tiled splash back, I love how the base models Brumby's allow for this, thanks for sharing very inspiring.
Hi, great vid, how does the Suzuki go towing your camper and is it an Auto, as I’m looking at buying the Jimny XL auto, cheers 👍
Awesome set up 🤘🏻 definitely jealous
Very well organized! I love the sticker wall, "Yeti", lol.
I was really interested in How to remove the carpets... But most of the time I was watching your breasts. ;) Nice video. :)
Well done
Do the guy lines come with the tarp?
Excellent video. Reasons for choice is spot on. I thought of doing similar with motorcycle but ended up with a sidecar & using a hammock & tarp. Sidecar lets me take table & compact chairs. It works for me. You have a great set up, very done. Thank you for sharing.
Well done Madi , Smart girl to keep it basic untill you work out what you need in it to be practical for you, an not some show room that you hate using due to it not being pratical, Good to see there is still some smart people in the world.
Love it.
Wonderful video and a great setup Well done Lass, subbed cos am about to pick up a Jimny LCV here in Scotland in a week or two and look forward to joining the Zook community.
Can you show how you set up the back of the zuk please
For a trip with the van?? Or just in general?
Nice rig you’ve got!!! what’s the optional extras you included on your Brumby LS, what’s the price range😢cheers
I added the aircon unit, water tank with cold shower, roof rails, power outlets in the sleeping area, 250w solar blanket, external side lights, and I asked to have a little more depth in the kitchen and gave up a few mm in the sleep area ☺️ cost is at the end of the video/also in the second review video ☺️
Brilliant!! GumnutCampers make great tear drop campers too. Made in Victoria
ahhhh the price to play 😁 big job but well done, great to see you just hooking into it and getting it all clean again. Great clip, keep up the good work. Cheers from a fellow Zook owner 👍
Gr8 Vid Madi. Gr8 setup. Very inspiring. Thnxs for answering all questions. Ps i run a 2ltr Suzi SX4 with 54kg RTT. & understand roof weight limits.
Will we see you on SBS ALONE AUSTRALIA
How do you find Jimny engine for towing Teardrop ? Do you feel its big enough ? What weight is van ? Are you on FB ?
Looks great, does the table sag too much with weight on it? Does it need a support leg in the middle or a cable from the middle back to the camper wall?
Thanks so much!! I actually have several legs for the table so if I set up for a while it will be fully supported in the middle and end ☺️
you customised your teardrop camper the way you like it, great job!!! what’s the price of it when it come out straight from the shop? happy camping
Wow Madi you have done a fantastic job on your Tear drop camper it looks amazing. I will give you a 10 out of 10 for all of your work you have done to it . Hopefully the next video you put up your camper is parked up on the Beach somewhere all set up and you are going to talk to us this time.
Thanks so much! 😊 I have got a trip in the works this week so hopefully I’ll get some filming in of it all set up on some epic spots! 😊
Two thumbs 👍👍 UP !
Looking great Madi well done you are doing a fantastic job on your tear drop camper. I have one thing to say to you can you please put something on your feet next time you are operating the saw you don’t want to be chopping your toes off or something
Buen trabajo. Gracias por compartir
Зачем зделали траурний капот. Испортили Джимни. Бил такой красивий цвет бежевий. Україна. Жалко джимни.
Be cognisant that there is an airbag on the dash in front of the passenger seat. In the event of an accident where the airbag deploys, your dash cover and whatever is placed on it will become missiles flying around your vehicle.
I am seriously thinking about getting a Jimny. I know they are fantastic off roaders, but what is your honest opinion on how they perform on the road as this is where I will be doing the most driving.
It’s my daily driver and I love it! I honestly couldn’t really fault it, so fun and easy to park too!
Nice one thanks
Great stuff Mardi. We have an Teardrop Camper Co. teardrop as well - GT - we love it. Frank is a genius. Enjoy your travels. John & Fiona - Katoomba, NSW.
Excellent! I have to try it myself with my tent
I have a Alton tarp that I use with my hammock but always wanted to try the different tarp tents 👍
I’m considering buying or possibly building a tear drop camper so this was a great review. Thank you for taking the time to provide your well thought out responses. So wise for one so young! 👍
I am from india.jimmy will launch next month in India and i am sure i am going to buy it. because it's very fun to drive and it can go almost anywhere
Great video Madi . Just got to be very gentle on those clips or wise it could be a very expensive exercise have to replace them. You need to go to 4 wheel drive super Center and get your self some Adventure King’s seat covers I have found them fantastic jump into your car with wet swimmers on or getting in and out with muddy clothes on better than getting your seats destroyed.
Who built the camper?
Great walk through Madi. Definitely got a few ideas for the rear set-up and storage so cheers for sharing Xena with the rest of us Jimny addicts 🚙💨
Thanks mate! I’ll have to do an updated video soon 🤔
Very interesting. We have a travelbug square drop camper and love the simplicity of camping in this way. You mentioned a thermocell is it for mosquitoes, how does it work? Also what sort of lock do you use for trailer. Thank you from Canberra
Just saw this! Thermocell just creates a barrier around you kind of like the old school bug zappers! I have got a few locks, hitch lock, tow ball lock and a bike lock to lock a few items on the tool box
Just purchased a Bushwacker to tow with my jeep for my adventures it’s storming here right now lots of rain but as soon as the weather clears up I’m heading out for some fun new adventures thanks for the video, have fun be safe go explore!!!👍😊
Loving your setup.
I want one 😎
Awesome stuff madie. Great detail and I’m sure you’ll love touring more.. hit me up when your in Vic.. can’t wait to see more videos
A nice set up Madi. We have a small teardrop style camper trailer which we tow behind a fully decked out Toyota Hiace campervan. The camper trailer is a second bedroom only and a bit extra stowage when on the road. No kitchen, as all the cooking facilities are in the Hiace. The little trailer only weighs 220kgs unladen and is a doddle to tow behind the Hiace. Packed up, probably around 300kgs. It easily passed the test on a three week tour around Tassie, lately. It received a lot of interest from other travellers while we were away.
Oh that sounds awesome!! Multiple rooms while traveling on the road!! ☺️
@@_madi_cate , spot the married couple. Whoever snores first gets shoved in the trailer.
@@jurgentreue1200 hahaha 🤣 makes sense!!!
Awesome vid Madi! Loved the detail you went into explaining the functionality. Such an efficient use of space and perfect having aircon especially in FNQ. The teardrop looks perfect towed behind Xena the Jimny and the colour matches so nicely. Also love the name Argo as well. Happy travelling and enjoy 🤙
Hey mate! Thanks so much for your kind words! Appreciate the support so much, I absolutely love that Frank was able to get the ivory sides fitted for me cause I just think the colour match makes it really seamless! Thanks again!! ☺️
Have the same camper, checkout the Dune deluxe RV shade from Anaconda. Have one similar and works well. Cheers
Awesome! Thank you so much for that I’ll check them out!
Hey Madi your trailer looks great it reminds me of a small version of a Caravan. It a great idea when you can park up for the night and you can sleep with out have to set it up because lots of camper trailers now days you have to spend at least half and hour setting it up.
Hey mate! Yeah you’re absolutely spot on there! It’s the convenience and simplicity of it that I loved. I’ve done a lot of camping/hiking, and I’m forever simplifying set ups so my sleeping and eating is expedited and good quality!
very nice little setup you have, I am the same way I like everything basic and am currently getting Square drop built, but not by The Teardrop company, I was thinking about air-con, but will do it with fans and open windows for the moment. Safe travels wherever you go 😁
Aircon is fine if you stay at powered sites To be honest you really do not need it and we have been out far west and up North. We just dont camp between December and January when temps can be up to and over 40 degrees. Have fans and screens all thats needed
Yeah for sure! Aircon is not for everyone, I’ve just done enough camping in hot swags/tents/mozzie nets that I knew I wanted to have the capability to run an aircon if I was too hot! Also all the big caravans travel aus with Aircons fitted why not a teardrop 😋
The pop up roof fans work unbelievably well - even just leaving them cracked open of a day makes a huge difference to the inside temperature. 👍
The one thing I did add to my set-up in my Teardrop was an Anderson plug so it charges the AGM in the Teardrop as I drive and keeps my fridge going which is in the camper. If I'm away for a few days and in one spot, I use a portable fold out solar flexible panel to top up the battery to keep the fridge happy. Same 100ah AGM and when that breaks, I'll upgrade it to lithium.
Yeah I’ve got the Andersen plug on the trailer just have to wire up one for the car ☺️
@@_madi_cate It didn't cost much with the auto electrician, far less than I expected - probably around $200 for them to do both the trailer and my car. I was *super* happy with that!
@@_madi_cate yeah it's well worth doing....👍
I LOVE my Teardrop (made by Frank as well) and it's been the best purchase for me. Enjoy your travels!
They’re a fantastic trailer!
Gorgeous thumbnail my friend, this looks amazing. Absolutely brilliant presentation! 🔥
Thank you so much!! Means a lot 😁
Nice one !
Thank you!! Hope that answered your questions! 😀
Yer you killed it! The setup is awesome and has convinced me that I want to have a similar setup to do my lap around Australia.
@@Jesse_visser awesome to hear!!! Good luck in your travels!!
