I'm not actually familiar with that specific way of doing it. All I can recommend is trying one of the options I covered in this video.

I hd the same problem first time round, make sure the app is the only app running while you install the firmware, I had my web browser open first time and I got the same glitch, it worked a traat second time I tried with all other apps closed 👌

If it is illegal (prohibited) to transmit a signal at a certain frequency in a certain country, then it is illegal (prohibited) to transmit that signal at that frequency in that country... The frequency required to transmit a signal to open a garage door is unlikely to be illegal (prohibited) in any country. If a Flipper shows the frequency as being 'blocked for transmission' - it is running stock firmware. Furthermore a VPN is being used for updates with the country set to a country where it is IS illegal/prohibited to transmit on that frequency. Or it was last updated in an entirely different country to which it is currently being used. Because a Flipper running stock firmware will follow the rules for the country your VPN is set to. Or the last country it was updated in.

@@DoingTheThingsMakingTheStuff GOTCHA ok, I get it thank you! I updated the flipper from my computer, I live in Florida, my VPN was probably on when it updated on the computer, I copied my garage remote frequency but then when I used it it told me it was prohibited

It sounds like you might need to double-check the settings when attempting to capture the signal. I start covering the exact steps for this in the video at 1:01, where I discuss how to navigate to the right menu and what settings you may need to adjust. Past that section I've gone into extraordinary detail as to how you may resolve any issues that arise. I recommend watching the whole video again, trying again, watching the whole video again, then trying again. This is what hacking looks like in the real world. Failing this, record yourself following the procedure from start to finish, just like in the video, upload it to youtube as a public video and tag me ( @DoingTheThingsMakingTheStuff ) so I can have a look at where you may be going wrong. If no, try the other two options, else: Were you using this SD card in the Flipper Zero prior to this installation attempt without issue? If yes, at what stage of the install are you up to when you get the error? (Give me the exact timestamp from the video? For all three methods - also if you have logs turned on post your log data here). Else: Try another card
