Range extender without one generator
In this video, we illustrate the setup of a range extender without one generator. This test is designed to emphasize the critical importance of maintaining equal moments of inertia in both crank assemblies. By removing one generator, we intentionally induce a failure state. Notice how the engine starts to shake and vibrate.
Explanation: While the balancing of inertia forces from the sliding mass remains perfect due to the symmetrical construction and synchronous gear, the disruption of equal moments of inertia between both crankshafts results in vibrations in this configuration.

Looks like a balancing nightmare and a very costly rebuild if it decides to rapidly unscheduled disassemble its self and shit its guts out.

hey everyone, let's take a simple and reliable concept and make it complicated and unreliable. Let's make it slower and increase the torque so that we need a stronger gearbox, let's cause the whole darn head to rotate because headgaskets are reliable and super cheap, and let's add a buch of gears because normal cranks don't have enough moving parts. Good idea!

Yes, we reached out to Škoda Auto, who are supposed to oversee the hybrid engine development for the entire group. However, they seem to favor their underwhelming and shaky three-cylinder engine. Perhaps they'll reduce it to two cylinders, which would make things even worse.

It's all of the bad features of various engine types, integrated into one mechanical nightmare.
But there is nothing special here, no extraordinary movements or forces, just an ordinary crankshaft and a standard planetary gear. Therefore, we do not believe in the Wankel engine, and have even less faith in the new Porsche 6-stroke engine.
@@KNOBGEAR -- The centrifugal force will force the oil into the combustion chamber and will foul the spark plugs...That's why most engines are designed to run upright to keep oil away from the top of the engine where combustion takes place. This is the most glaring failure of this engine concept.
How to make the rotary engine much worse.
The only way that’s possible is to license the design to BMW. The wankel rotary is dead end design.
You mean the Radial engine. Rotary engines have always sucked (think WWI aircraft engines)

Yes, the engine sounds cool. But it's obvious that the engine did not have a stable idle run. We did not have the correct ECU settings and tuned values in the injection and ignition tables at that time.
Not unique much ...sound like Rtype engine of BMW (Motorbike) ...not coincidence that planed as air-motion unit 🙂

Sorry about the video quality. I used my family camera Canno SX540 HS with automatic settings and zoom to max, because it were so strong wind that others thought that the test will not be carried out :-D.
I am very pleased that Knob Motoren has implemented the Birotor piston engine and wish them much success. The concept is great and still has potential to achieve the maximum efficiency of the internal combustion engine by simply expanding it to an extended expansion without dead spaces. Feedback
This is a perfect and simple way to build a 4-stroke engine with only 3 cylinders every 180° kW ignition distance to create a quasi 4-cylinder engine cost-effectively for flying drones. This is also the preliminary stage for the next step in realizing the Deckers double cycle engine and comparing it one-to-one on the test bench.
But wouldn’t this compete against a wankel?

Flaviomasenadore. Falsche Einschätzung. Die Bewegten Teile sind niedriger als bei einem vergleichbaren 4 Zylindermotor mit 180° Zündabstand. Hier gibt es keinen Ventiltrieb und der Motor ist für einen bestimmten Drehzahlbereich perfekt abgestimmt. Er läst sich einfacher herstellen und kann fürs Militär massenhaft hergestellt werden.
