Velvet Ear Warmer Headband Crochet Tutorial
This headband is made of luxuriously soft velvet that will keep you warm and cozy all winter. Offered in beautiful and on-trend hues, and finished off with a stylish twist at the front, this velvet headband is the perfect accessory for outdoor winter activities. This is a customer favorite for gift giving every year, so make your own and gift it to your most fashionable loved one!
This pattern is suitable for beginners, but working with the velvet yarn can be a little bit tricky at first. It is very soft and slippery, and it is harder to see your stitches. I have rated this pattern as “Advanced Beginner” for this reason. It will be a little bit easier if you have some experience with crocheting and handling yarn, but it could be a great first project for an enthusiastic and patient beginner!
A full DIY Learn to Crochet Kit for this pattern is available in my Etsy shop. This kit includes all the materials you will need: velvet yarn, a crochet hook, yarn needle, printed copy of the pattern, and a full beginner’s guide to crochet. I also have the pattern available as a digital download for those that already have their own materials.

GREAT NEWS! I am re-recording the audio for this video! When I made it, I was brand new to UA-cam and didn’t really know what I was doing, and my audio came out SO quiet. Now that I have a bit more experience under my belt, I will be fixing the sound on this video. I hope to have it done sometime in September 2022. Thank you for following along with me!
you saved mee thanks 😍
The kitten purring in the background ❤

How many for a toddler?
I just grabbed some velvet yarn and made one following your tutorial. Thanks for sharing, it is a great tutorial.
Perfect video for beginners like me :) Thank you so much and I LOVE your nails <3
Thank you so much!!
Hi! So what is the yarn needle for and how do we finish the scarf?
Yarn needle would be used to weave the ends of the piece into the project. You can also look up videos of how to fasten off a crochet scarf, which is probably how this one was fastened as well
The best video I've seen. Others confused me when I had to turn...Thank You!
Thank you so much!
hii i just finished my first row of half double crochet stitches and i was wondering how do i go on from here since I'm only using one color? (this is my first time crocheting btw lol😁)
Hi! You can just chain one and turn, then continue on down the row the same way you did the first row :)
Love your channel please can you do a video on how to make a matching ear warmer
Thank you! That’s a great idea, it would make such a cute matching set. I will get to work on making a video for it :)
Really lovely work. Delighted to be the first to comment. Excellent and helpful to me to get the multiples of 3+1. Much thanks from Mary 👍👍
Thank you Mary!
So pretty so happy for subtitles I can barely hear you.
i can not hear you
Hey Barb! Thank you for letting me know. I upgraded my microphone after recording this video, so that issue should be fixed for the future videos. I’m in the process of recording an updated version of this video with better audio quality that I hope to have completed in the next couple of months. In the meantime, I’d be happy to send you my written pattern notes for reference. Let me know if you’re interested!
Great video, thank you!
Thank you!
Where can I find the written pattern?
Hi may I ask what yarn is this?
This is Bernat Velvet in the shade Majestic Purple :)
What about a DD CUP?
im making this for the second time!! i love it thank you for a great tutorial :) <3
I'm not sure what I did wrong but the bottoms of my cups kept going round and not flat like yours??
Mine sometimes go a bit round as well! I think it’s just the nature of crochet to do something a bit weird even if you follow a pattern perfectly. I fix it using a technique called blocking, where you pin the item down in the shape you want and slightly wet it then let it dry in that shape. I also find that they tend to become a bit more normal shaped after you stitch the cups to the waistband part. You could also try slip stitching along the bottom of each cup, that should help it create more of a flat bottom. I hope this helps! Please let me know if these tips don’t help, we can figure it out together :)
this tutorial is soo easy to follow! thank you! my only tiny complaint is the audio is so soft i struggled at points to hear you!
Thank you so much! And thanks for the feedback-I’ll double check my audio on the next one and make sure it’s a bit louder! ❤️
This ended up so great thank you so much!
No problem! Thanks for following along with me! :)
