Hi Oliver! Thanks! I was using the Nikkor AF-P 18-55mm at the long end - at the 55mm. Going wider than 55mm with the VM lens results with vignetting on aps-c. The VM works surprisingly well with the 18-55mm and the widest aperture at 55mm is quite okey and anyway if you'd go more open than f4 with VM the image begins to go more mushy step by step down. The AF-P (not the older noisy af-s!) 18-55mm kit lens' autofocus also works with VM in most cases and the internal stabilazer allows you to do handheld anamorphic shooting like you can see in the video. I didn' use tripods at all. It doesn't crop at all at 55mm so you'll be getting the full sensor view. Using the VM with aps-c gives you around 2/4 or 1/3 sharp area at the center of the frame, but towards the sides image begings to lose sharpness. One thing more what I like with the VM is it's 1.5x stretch factor which is better than the more usual 2x found in the cheap available anamorphic adapters. So, it's been lightweight and mobile anamorphic adapter which has allowed me to start doing anamorphic stuff and to get some taste. It's not the best but affordable and fun. Cheers!
