We were in Alaska for 2 months. This video is my first ever Salmon. I was fishing a 6 weight 7 foot fly rod that was on loan from a local friend/guide. The reel's handle was loose and caused me a lot of problems. Betwen the Salmon and pulling it up the river, at the end, I was exhausted. Thanks to the town of Soldotna for a wonderful 14 days on our way to Homer and beyond. The beauty of the Kanai River will never be forgotten.
