I'm a designer and illustrator who loves animating retro cartoons from the '80s. 🤖
Everything from Gundam to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Transformers inspires my work.
I create short, simple animated clips bringing our beloved childhood superheroes to life, whether reanimating classic scenes or developing custom creations. The animation style aims to be simple, vibrant and funny.

Getter Robo is a pioneering Japanese mecha franchise co-created by Ken Ishikawa and Go Nagai. Debuting in 1974, the anime television series, produced by Toei Animation, aired on Fuji TV and ran for 51 episodes until 1975. The accompanying manga, serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday, comprised six volumes and was later reprinted by Futabasha.
The storyline revolves around three determined teenagers-Ryoma Nagare, Hayato Jin, and Musashi Tomoe-who pilot specially designed combat jets that combine to form three distinct giant robots: Getter-1, Getter-2, and Getter-3. These machines, powered by Getter Rays, are the brainchild of Prof. Saotome, intended for deep-space exploration but repurposed as Earth's defense against the Dinosaur Empire. This civilization of reptilian humanoids seeks to reclaim the planet and annihilate humanity, having survived underground due to their immunity to Getter Ray radiation.
Getter Robo's success spawned sequels and remakes, notably Getter Robo G, which introduced a new robot piloted by Ryoma, Hayato, and newcomer Benkei Kuruma. They sure reused this design. I remember watching the original show and then later Vikungfu? From machine robo was basically this.

I remember catching the reruns in Japan. There were so many Tatsunoko shows airing during the peak hours.
