Hey y’all, Soooooo I’m not a super huge wine drinker or a fan! Would a non wine drinker love the red wine?! I love Nina dobrev and Julianne hough! And going to be watching a movie that has Nina dobrev in it! And want to support and represent her! Soooo I’m planning on having her and Julianne hough’s wine! This is one of my favorite Merlots and one of my favorites from Charles Smith. It's nice and dry and affordable. I also like the screw top. No corkscrew needed!

Two excellent Chardonnays priced around 20 bucks are Sonoma-Cutrer and Kenwood Vineyards six ridges. Sonoma-Cutrer has a Sonoma coast Chardonnay and a Russian River valley and both are great wines for the price!

Great job ladies! By far the best review on Cali Red I've seen! I just picked up a bottle today. Haven't had a chance to try it yet. I'm not really a wine drinker and I have not found one I like yet. So hopefully this one will be the ONE! Happy New Year!

Is it real champagne or no?

Do Shannon and Tara really know anything about California wine? Or wine in general? Wine made in Modesto is almost all made at the EJ Gallo winery in Modesto, either as one of their labels or made by them for sale on the bulk wine market. In this instance, I reckon the bulk wine was bottled under the James & Bell label, purchased by Wine Vintners. I have a bottle of the 2018 James & Bell Pinot Noir I just opened and tasted. I get the strawberry, maybe some cranberry. It is a bit harsh to me, consistent with a hard press (which extracts crushed seeds tannins and tends to over extract the skins). I really enjoy Pinot Noir, and this is not one of them.

You're drinking this wine at the VERY wrong temperature, to taste it as the winemaker intended. Complex...? It's jammy on the nose and palate, with solid, silky tannin, and medium acidity... like all Cali blends pretty much. The really good examples have more however from proper oak aging in proper French/American barrels, giving them more complex flavors then the oak staves used in this. Am I saying you can't drink your wine like this? No. Taste is subjective and you do you. It's not a terrible wine at all IMO, but not what I'd buy for $20 in my area as there are far better deals. However, I AM saying that you are tasting this wine incorrectly for reviewing it. A wine course will also teach you how to not fall trap to marketing ploys like this. I bet about $2 from each bottle goes straight to Snoop Dog. If you know how to read a wine label, this becomes obvious and you can drink better wine at the same price range. Sorry for putting you down, but if you have a wine channel, at least know how to taste it.

Your yeast packet was good for 1.5qts to 1.5gal. You could have done 2 full containers of the juice you used lol you didn’t need to pour out a half quart.
