What an awesome idea, a geta-inspired project! Wonder how you got on with the toe section over time? With Japanese geta you wear them 1-2cms smaller than your foot size and hang off the back a little, hence why the teeth are placed so far back on the Japanese type. This means your toes just gently rest under the loops at the front. If you try to wear them like standard flip-flops they completely shred your toes, ask me how I know -_-

Your work safety is appalling. Trying to use a router when just holding the piece with one hand and running the machine while waving your hand in front of it is not a safe thing to do. Also using it to router an edge with not fixing the work first is not advised. Other than that I was keen to see how the machine operated, that much I did appreciate.

It looks like you're missing a shot tube and possibly an abutment assembly, if you add those back in it'll likely shoot as the Shot tube is it's 'true' barrel as such, it looks like a spring block off a 105B will also fit that hole if you ever want a proper item in there. Finish wise they were originally Painted but you could try cold bluing which will give it a more realistic finish, if you're staying with it as a Wall hanger you could also add the end cap sight from any of the Red Ryder family, they are all plastic but it'll fit with a notch cut in the barrel (original was likely a welded item on the Barrel with the Bottle Cap style end cap that would unscrew to remove the shot tube assembly).
