put on some nice sab well balanced blades and it runs nice and smooth
멋져요~!!
Had that twice on my 550 until I changed my undercarriage to the 550x it's more nose down keeps the tail off the ground
hi . yes ive changed it now they are tail heavy, i then took out my flybar 550 and touched tail on that and wrecked that so ive gone off them at the mo,lol that crash was so pathetic i couldnt bring myself to post it..
换一台飞机 这个飞机太老了而且笨重。
i hav sab 420 raw i like old and heavy .lol
I am happy for you to read in the other comments that the damage was not too bad! It looked much worst! I wish you many more safe and happy flights!
thanks . im trying to fly my 550 but in england it just keeps raining lol tuesday looks good
@@arcturus2382 Same here in Poland, it's getting rainy, cold and windy! Alltogether! I will fly more on the simulator now, although it's not the same pleasure!
Excellent bit of flying 🎉🎉 bit windy though.
Crashes because of a technical failures are so hard to swallow for me. It's easier for me to accept that I did a stupid mistake than that some part failed to do it's job. I am flying electrics only. Your engine is loosing a lot of RPM when you give some load on the disc. Is this normal?
hi ,i hav lost confidence in this heli it is ready to fly now but it has a bad vibration on it the electronics seem fine now and the engine dropping power is prob due to me not setting the govenor up yet i hav just used standard throttle curve for now , im about to maiden my trex 550 flybarr so that should be good if it goes well lol. i see your flying is getting pretty good now too .cheers
@@arcturus2382 Yeah, loosing the confidence is a bad thing. I once had unplanned autorotations because of my ESC shutting up in the worst moment! Took some time until my confidence to this heli came back! Thank you very much for your kinds words regarding my flying ! This winter I want to work on many weak points in the simulator. 2025 will be an awsome Year. I hope!! 😀 Cheers!!😀
Oh no! Too bad! It was such a beautiful flight, smooth and round. Wind seemed to be rather strong and cold. I guess this did not help the battery as well. Always in autumn I have to get used to shorter flight times because of the temperature drop.
the batery is not great but i should off landed sooner and been higher lol anoying when u hav good flight then crash at the end
@@arcturus2382 So true!! I sometimes had a crash after a great day with many flights I enjoyed .. and then flying the very last battery all went wrong! In my case my concentration was eaten off!
I've had that with my 500's but my 550 has remarkably kept good. I've had a buddy do all my mechanical work but those t/r gear sets can get expensive, plus there being differing ratios!
i do prefur the belt tail the gears brake to easy and yes they are expensive , i do hav a bigger lipo that might stop it being so tail heavy which doesnt help. anoying when i broke it last flight lol, im flying my planes more that seems to be more relaxing and cheap lol😂
@@arcturus2382 Small part of me was itching for you to get away from the ground, anyway. Altitude can be one's best friend, for time to react. Sometimes, haha, I like altitude a bit more than average, but....
@@andrewczski1969 i should of had some altitude but i was faffing around checking my camera thats why i landed again
Same thing happened to my t-rex 500 I gluded 2"strip of carbon fiber to tail fin. No more broken gears
@@mrctheboss ive glued a bit of balsa on but i think i will go for something wider like u say 2 inches
5:01.. That's how helis sleep at night. All snuggled up in a little ball.
most of mine do
voltage sag! battery was pooched. she'll fly again though!
hi . yes the batery was well sagged i should hav landed already lol, shes ready to fly again about 20 pound damage, great litle helis though
nice touch on the controls
THANKS the next flight i crashed doing a spin and took the motor clean off . hav rebuilt it and she will fly again . no more spins lol
Oh nooooo!!! Aww mate never mind, it happens from time to mine. I haven't flown my 500E for months! Really need to get it back outside when weather calms. PS - Sorry for my absence, a LOT has been happening in my life these last few months!
Oh no😢How bad is the damage? Hopefully you can get it back to the air soon✌️
only blades and the pushrods conecting the main grip arms flew off and disapeared and the tail servo ,not to bad 😀
@@arcturus2382 Yeah,it could be worse ! It seems that your hometown suffers like mine often from windy days ..I would fly so much more if we would have more calm days🫣 Wind is venomous for helicopter Rockies on flybar like me 😅
The first flight after the one in which some kind of an incident happens do things with the own mind which I simply can describe 😅 I remember so well during the first flight after the failure of my gyro as my fingers begun to shaking by them self 🫣 However, amazing job and you did it during weather conditions with changing wind intensity, wow 😮 Well done 👍👍👍
thanks the confidence does go quick but it can come back with a few flights , just done the trex 500 crash now . lol
That is a bummer. SImilar to mine. Something gave way. In my case, it seems the servo wheel broke. Sorry. Take care.
Oh ells fire!!!!!!
Hi, I just brought S1 with T8 and tried to fly 3D but failed. I already turn the T8 switch to idle 2 and also turn the another switch to manual mode. However the S1 only move 40 angle and cannot up side down and let S1 crash. Do you know what is the problem. Do l also need to turn the D/R to 100%? Would you kindly tell which switchs need to change before fly to 3D action. Your help is much appreciated. 🙏🙏🙏
hi i also had this problem with mine they are a pain in the butt ,i rebound it several times holding bind button also pressing it 3 times as it says in the booklet it eventually worked so try bind again my s2 got smasshed a few times and i sent the t8 back but the new one was just as much of a pain i did eventually get it to work it vseems to be in the binding .
Mam taki sam model❤
nice flight, hope you get it back in air soon
hi i found the problem was the crappy electric voltage reducer broke and i only discovered that today when i went to fly it again but i spoted it before i flew so that was lucky so waiting for new receiver pack. should be good to go
I had the same machine for over two years until it exploded on liftoff. It was a totaled beyond repair.
Oh no!
great maiden
Could you already figured out what was the cause for this failure? How bad is the damage?hopefuly it is fixable 😢 Very nice flying style
hi . one of the links broke on swash or servo broke not sure , u can see in the vid the heli wobled as i was half way threw the piro back to upright, , its broke blades and boom torque tube a servo and tail shaft , not to bad when it came down in a heap lol.😀
@@arcturus2382 well it could be worser, hopefully you will fix this beautiful bird .. Last year the gyro of my Rex 600 has failed in flight,it was scary,no clue how I was able to get it with nearly no damage emergency landed ,I guess I had a lot of luck ,since them I ve replaced the gyro by a microbeast X FBL system which I let act only as a gyro because mine is still a flybar bird .It works exceptional well😉
@@voneboy hav fixed some but need parts now . more money lol, this did hav flybar but i took this head of my 550, i bet your trex is nice with the flybar head i did fly my 500 trex flybar in one of my older vids and crashed that to
@@arcturus2382 I’m nearly sure that I also watch the video you are mentioning..My flybar Heli is a T-Rex 600 cf with some optional parts .
@@voneboy ive got the trex 600 cf belt drive thats flyin nice at the mo .
Gud vid 💯💥
Gud vid 👌
Great looking heli and flying skills!
Still good helicopter🎉
its a great heli lots of fun still only had a few flights
New flying field?
yes , hav been able to get the big heli out 😀
Noice!! fairly old school Arc! Very cool.
cheers mate ,its fun trying to find parts and get em goin again, cant afford all trhat flash stuff uve got lol
@@arcturus2382 lol - Arc you change your helis more often than i change my socks! ;-) I love the variation of those that you fly - great stuff pal.
@@HeliShed tell me about it lol it all adds up rather fast i could of bought some newer ones by now . still its all good fun ive got the trex 550 e to try next week
nice heli, nice flying, nice place to fly too
Ich war erste Like😂
good job
Battery looks a bit small to me, this bird needs 6s 3300 mah lipo
thats the recomended size i do hav 3300 batts but they make it nose heavy my 500 l takes 3300 but they slide underneith so they balance better
Thanks for the video. Nice to see another one and actually flying well. I have struggled with mine. In order to get the 85-95mm C of G, I had to use a load of nose weight and an 1800 4S battery. What CG did you use and did you need extra nose weight? In flight it was a handful. Increased throttle would pitch it up massively suggesting maybe that it was nose heavy, which would figure given that it's meant to fly on really small 3S batteries. Were you using 3S? Maybe it's better with the CG further back?
hi i actually put a slightly bigger motor in mine and i use a 1300 4s lipo so it proberbly worked out about right , i couldnt say how good it flies i mostly fly helis so my skills on the plane are not great my cg is about 90
@@arcturus2382 Hi and thanks for that. It sounds like the combination of your bigger motor and 4S put the CG right. I have mine at 85mm with a 2300 3S for the moment (still with ballast in the nose), but I haven't tried it yet. I did do a radical hack and realigned (rotated) the wings forward by moving the pegs in the fuse. Now the horizontal tail is in one line with the leading edge and trailing edge. I am wondering whether the pegs were glued in too low which dropped the trailing edge slightly. We will soon find out!
@@mrhilma sounds like u hav set it up with zero degrees incedence so that should fly the same inverted as upright ,i need to fly mine more but i dont hav easy site for planes but it does fly good my first flight i crashed because i hadnt flown for ages but had s few flights since ok . i got a timber x yet to be flown flying the balsa belero is nice but i dont want to smash it up lol will u hav vid of your flight would like to see if so .cheers
Exactly - 0 degrees incidence! The hope was that it would be more neutral. The weather's turned bad here, so I may not see test-flying and videoing conditions for a while. Timber should be more relaxing!
@@mrhilma hopefully will get to a good flying site in summer to fly the timber its still in the boxlol
Lovely videos of your Flybar Rex 500! Great to see also other people that still like to flyflybar ones. I own more or less the same one in the 600 version ,although I’m still learning to fly helicopters I enjoy them a lot. Here is mine Rex 600 cf some years ago one my very first hover solo,I was absolutely nervous 🫣 Anyway, nothing especial on the video but at least you can see my flybar Rex ! ua-cam.com/video/zo_A0d504NE/v-deo.htmlsi=cFthSyQbU7FFDANB Nice regards from Germany ✌️🚁🚁🚁
The best RC plane ever!!!!! Big Fan From PAKISTAN
Which area??
south england
Nice piros
thanks .not quite keeping them goin yet but nearly there
I'm not the only Flybar'd flyer
lol i still hav a 600 flybar to try out as well
Nice heli! :D
cheers its a great practice heli cheap to repair 😀😀
looks like soft ground saved the blades so not too bad for repair cost, nice flying mate.
cheers yes it wasnt to bad just a servo and straiten the boom but the blade was broke so i do try and buy the seconds u can get them for 15 pound sometimes , just got a load of tarrot blades for the 450 8 pound so not so bad .
Wow not bad survival of a crash, i thought it will be more bad. Guess land was soft enough. Btw, a flybar in 2024? :)
yes land was soft i put on spare servo straightened boom and had a pair of spare blades and she ready to crash again lol ,and flybar in 2024 lol ive just bought a 600 trex flybar heli and a 550 flybar ,i hav got a flybarless head for 550 though the 600 will remain as is unless i find a head for it .should be fun
@@arcturus2382I've got a Trex-600e, currently out of service as I need parts, mainly need the CF frames, but they're not really in stock anymore. In the process of rebuilding my CNC machine to cut out the CF frames. Seems that's the only way I'll be able to get them. Hopefully you can still find trex 500 parts.
hi . yes 500 parts are easy there are lots of them and should be able to get some 600 parts on ebay . if u serch internet u might find some new frames i hav seen them sometimes depends were u are i found some parts then they usually are in other countries with expensive post lol
@@arcturus2382 I've checked ebay here and there and I do see some but they're in UK (I'm in US). Which isn't all that much of an issue, however it seems they're used frames, which I would prefer new ones. Ultimately I will crash the heli again at some point so I'll need to find a longer term solution with regards to the frames. Other parts like the main gear, main shaft, etc.. will probably become an issue further down the line as well. I think it some point it'll make more sense for me to fix it, retire it as a shelf piece and maybe pick up a more modern heli. I have an old Shuttle ZX that's 25 years old at this point that sits on my shelf. Parts for that would be impossible to find.
@@K9Megahertz i just got a blade 500x so i had to buy 2 so i could hav some parts but trex helis are usually good u can just buy another heli for parts but a newer heli is easyer but were is the fun in that lol, i had a shuttle in 2001 i didnt keep it unfortunatly ive seen 2 on ebay this week
I can't believe you had no damage after that landing! Very lucky indeed 😂
lol i thought it was toast , just shows how strong they are . u do hav to make sure the blades are tight vto avoiod blade strike, i did turn the motor back on but it didnt spool up as fast as it should i hav turned it up more on the esc but dont know if i shall risk it again lol
Really nice flying. Is that a Tarot kit or just a Tarot head? I"m thinking of doing another Tarot Pro V2 build but its been years.
high its a tarrot head the rest is trex its quite good ive just ordered some more tarrot bits cheap blades etc , theses 450 are great to practice for cheap repair cost
🥦🔥🥦🔥🥦
Boom strikes !🎉
yes i just had boom strike on my sab 420 doin an auto so i hav the bladers tighter now
Dont leave blades so loose. I got to Algn thier stuff is durable ALIGN !
It's been difficult trying to fly with all the wind and rain we've had recently. Hoping it'll improve soon along with lighter evenings for some after-work flying! Glad you've managed to find the odd decent day.
no wind today or tomorrow should be nice .😀
Fun plane, after you sort out the garbage undercarriage issues.. Easiest fix - Use the rear float legs in the box to reinforce the main gear. Bend the fuselage mount point on the rear legs straight, Take off the plastic main gear retainers, Place the float legs on top of the main gear legs, then flip the retainers over and refasten. The additional leg-set should loop behind the main gear, with the 90 degree bent leg ends pointing forward. Fasten both together near the wheel hub with a small zip-tie. Repeat for both sides. Fyi - Mine hasn't needed any adjustment since discovering this fix. also seriously reduces gouging of the fuselage in front and behind the wheel pants, and extends the life of the wheel pants themselves. Try 4S if you dare.. scary fun. Happy trails
cheers shall try 4s .not to fussed about the undercariage the grass always grabs it anyway .cheers
I've flown a plane a few times. Definitely less stressful than helis but I'll stick to my choppers for now 😂 Enjoyed the video nonetheless!
they make a nice change now and again ,these small ones are great for a small area
My goodness me!! At approx. 2:25 how you didn't crash is a mystery to me mate!! I thought it was a gonner!! 😱😂 Awesome flying though mate! 👌
more luck than judgement
