Lice travel upward (pt II)

I offer head lice removal service in Austin, TX. I am taking part in a research study for the University Massachusetts, by sending samples in so the researchers can test them to determine how lice have adapted resistance to Permethrin. I have learned that headlice crawl upward as that helps them navigate towards the head. I love to observe and learn from nature, even from parasites such as lice!

louse (lice) crawling onto my head

Do lice crawl on slick surfaces? Do lice sense the warmth of a nearby head and travel towards it? With this louse's response to me offering my own hair it seems that they do get amped up at a new human prospect, but won't make it across some slick surfaces to accomplish this. Remove all lice and nits from with The Nit Pick in about 2 hours. www.TheNitPick.com

lice and nit identification after removal

After Combing the hair with The Nit Pick you will empty the comb into a white bowl of water. Then, you identify whether any of the debris removed was a louse or egg. Healthy head lice can survive for about one month. At 10 days old they begin reproducing.

With the plastic comb you can get 20-40% of the lice and nits on the first day. Be thorough, and make up for the poor comb quality by repeating your follow up on day 3,6,9,12,and 15. That should be enough. You are very welcome, I'm glad that the video was helpful. Thank you for the comment.

@Darlene Sosa, that's what I thought too before trying this comb. If you're stuck with lice/nits, you'll be doing yourself a favor to order The Nit Pick and follow these instructions. Save the nit picking for The Nit Pick, and save time!

The combs never work for nits, they're just too strong. What gives best results is picking them out with your finger nails.
