Hello po im currently training for the EMT-B training medyo nakak discourage lang po I'M also a psych grad. no knowledge of physio/anatomy or any medical pre hospital care experience. training na 10 araw lang .. then they are expecting us to be knowledgeable agad sa lahat2x .. i want too quit na because of pressure, nakaka low self esteem to handle a patient . :(

This was one hell of a drill. As a former BLS ambulance driver and medic, I never worked with MCI units before, as accidents in my hometown are usually minor. So, us EMTs and AEMTs are the main medics. However, when two buses collided and the MCI units were called, that's when I got a close-up look at them. They are more skilled than us personally, as expected. We helped them clear out any patients and assisted them as much as we could, clearing the scene. In the end, we had a good conversation with one of the ambulance bus personnel, and he shared stories of some of the calls they responded to. It's honestly inspiring. That's when I decided to give all my respect to the MCI Units. Salute to all of the medical teams, from one paramedic to another.

Just want to ask Lang po if nasa *BLIND CURVE * at emergency naman po bawal parin ba mag overtake ang isang ambulance? Dba pwede naman and other vehicles should halt once heard siren and saw ung light... This is regarding dun sa nasa tulfo as far as I know dapat walang liability nun ung driver ng ambulance dba kasi he's just doing his service to save a life..
It looks like you have start for a great program which may be indirectly reimbursed by retired ex-patriot US medical insurance. Ph. Red cross publicizing collaboration with American Red Cross- makes strong argument for reimbursement of out of pocket urgent-emergent expenses of US tourists by their stateside insurance carrier Medicare Advantage. As an interested surf tourist, I was inquiring about Siargao Island any Emergency Trauma capacity. Does General Luna have an EMS squad? I see Dapa has a new hospital capacity. Does the hospital have expertise to treat coral scrapes-abrasions? What about more serious trauma- head injury? Leg removal fracture is also rare but possibly, as rare surf accidents can occur during surf. If not, is there plan B to EMS transport Siargao to Surigao Mindanao hospital system? Here is another opportunity. The same indirect reimbursement for travel insurance may apply to US automobile personal injury protection policies. Your ex Patriots are riding scooters and at risk for crashes. I have seen medical providers outside US send documentation in Spanish. For younger patient tourists I am also an advocate for buying travel insurance. Do you document your EMS transport? It may be good practice to start to mirror your stateside colleagues who get reimbursement directly from US insurance. Expect to capitalize on being English speaking. Maybe in your calls, you should not only ask for credit card payment, but also insurance information policy name and ID # to seek to be paid for your work. To see information on above, check other VLOG, Medicare Loophole by expat. He successfully was reimbursed for out of pocket medical expense by Medicare Advantage. You should be pricing your medical service (share with your US patients, kababayan doctors and nurses). I am a stateside nurse advocate who sees the military value of R.Ph. to the US. Why not negotiate this to create opprtunity for R. Ph. Medical providers? For what it is worth, I sent message to President to discuss with US Congress to consider start covering US ex Patriots with Medicare out of Network benefits. Until that time, it will need to be indirectly-as I have discovered- but it is a start. I also thought to share Paramedic Coach VLOG. Maybe you've seen it. It shows US standard of care for EMS Paramedicine. Magaling po.
