Thats a great idea for the closest shelves. I love your ideas! The acrylic shelves are cute. To hide the cord, have you considered placing a narrow but lengthy mirror to cover the cord and rest on the edge of your desk. Then, hang 3 acrylic shelves in a vertically stacked manner on each side of the mirror. Just an idea... I agree the cord would drive me crazy as well. I adore the lights around the mirror! GIRL!!!
