Sabbath is for all mankind not just for Jewish people. Sabbath became holy when God finished his creation. If you think the creation is important, you should think it holy. Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done. 2:3 So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.

Your questions don't carry any weight Doctor, let me not be tempted to question your Bible study experience. First of all who is a gentile/s? “11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past❤❤ Gentiles in the flesh,❤ who are called Uncircumcision❤ by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ❤ye were without Christ,❤ being aliens❤ from the commonwealth of Israel,❤ and❤ strangers❤ from the covenants of promise❤, having no hope,❤ and without God in the world:❤ 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. ” Ephesians 2:11-13 KJV We are no longer gentiles, am no longer a gentile, as Seventhday Adventists we are children of God, we are the people of God. Gentiles don't have Christ, they are aliens/strangers, separate from the commonwealth of Israel, hopeless people(they have no hope), strangers from the covenant of promise, we SDA are children of the new covenant and we are Abraham's seed, gentile don't have God and are in total darkness according to apostle Paul. Therefore whoever call themselves Gentiles yet claim to have Christ, I question their theological experience. There remaineth therefore a (keeping of the Sabbath, a sabbatismos) rest for the people of God ( not gentiles or Jews) no, "people of God" the church, the Remnants, the one body of Christ not many bodies of Christ but one body with no distinction. Hebrews 4:9-10.

Exo 2 v1-3 the Sabbath was made before Jews. Exo 20 :8-11 We imitate God, not the Jews in Sabbath keeping. God said, " For in six days......" Verse 11. Jesus kept the Sabbath Lk 4 v14-16, 31. Mt24:20, Jesus himself, speaking of the end time trouble after His ascension, He made it clear that the Sabbath would be kept by those living in the last days. Mt 5:17. Paul kept the Sabbath Acts 13:42-44, Acts 17:1-3, Acts18:4 and Paul was meeting with Jews and Gentiles together on the Sabbath. John the Revelator says he was in Spirit "ON THE LORD'S DAY " Rev 1:10. Which day was he referring to since he was a Jew? Was it not the Sabbath day?

Answer to Questions number one . ISAIAH 56:1-7 . Gen 2:1-3 . Mark2:27 . Hebrews 4:9 (there remains a rest(sabbatismos ,sabbath keeping for the peopleof God ). Please see also Exodus 16:30 LXX septuagint. it further confirms the meaning of the same root word for 'sabbatismos' used in Hebrews 4:9 is used in Exodus 16:30 . The 7th day sabbath is still valid and binding. This is different from the ceremonial sabbaths/ordinances/feast days colossians 2:16-18.

Sabbatismos means keeping of Sabbath, but Sabbath is not exclusive to Saturday. So do yourself a favour, take the SDA glasses off and read Hebrews 3 and 4 in its context. The statement 'there remains therefore a rest to the people of God' , is said after the writer has provided sufficient scriptural evidence to demonstrate the present reality and availability of God's rest in Christ. The whole passage is meant to exhort the readers to remain faithful to Christ by whom and through whom God's rest is entered and enjoyed.; and not to fall after the example of the wilderness generation. Even if you were not familiar with the wilderness generation's exploits , this passage is sufficient to show that what they failed to do was to enter Canaan(a type of the true rest). It was definitely not a failure to keep Saturday. How then does the statement ' there remains therefore a rest.... refer to Saturday.

I first learned about child abuse amongst my fellow elders back in 1980. On reporting this to the traveling overseers, I was told "the Organization is handling it." What I eventually learned was that this really meant the Watchtower's hierarchy was "sweeping it under the carpet." After a few more years of seeking justice within the "Organization" I was personally attacked by it, which led to me leaving at the end of 1985.

Fact is, that within the grace-age starting from Acts 2 and End at Rev 3, we do Not find the sabbath-doctrine, so compared to the Lord Jesus Christ as savior, Lord, King and God and HIS work on the cross, the sabbath topic was not worth even to be reminded in scripture between Acts 2 to Rev 3 as a teaching-doctrine with regard to real born-again Christians! Think about that: 1) Why has the Almighty God kept the sabbath-doctrine out of the Christian-teaching? 2) Why have the SDA added it to their teachings? If we would accept to insert a new added focus as „Jesus + sabbath“, we are already sidetracked away from „The Lord Jesus Christ only“.

    10. It's very rich singling out the Sabbath as a law that requires stoning as punishment for breaking it. What about adultery? What did Jesus do with the woman caught in adultery? He was a Jew after all, wasn't he? Why didn't Jesus, who is sinless, cast the first stone??? In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:11-15 There remains one judgment at the last day, where we will all be judged. Christ blotted out the ordinances, which said if you sin you are to be put to death immediately. People misinterpret ordinances as laws. There were laws, ceremonial laws, statutes, ordinances. They don't mean the same thing, they are different. Christ took away that punishment upon himself because he DIED for our sin, we don't have to die for our sin. Such a question shows lack of understanding of what is meant by Christ dying ONCE for our sins.

    9. You cannot expect everything to be written in the Bible, like you said, we have to use logic. If no one was keeping the Sabbath, why then would God say "REMEMBER to keep the Sabbath holy" if it was not kept before that statement was uttered? How do you remember something you did not experience before? And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. 24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. 25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. 26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. Exodus 16:23-26 There is the evidence that the Sabbath was kept BEFORE the 10 commandments were written down. The law that says "thou shalt not kill" appears in the context of Israel too. Are you saying that it's not a sin for non-Israelites to kill? If so, why then was Cain punished for killing his brother? Again, LOGIC.

    8. Jesus DID command his disciples to go and teach ALL NATIONS what he taught them. We are here because of the great commission, not because of the church fathers. Jesus showed his disciples that if you are hungry on the Sabbath, you can pluck fruit and eat, or in our case today, you can warm your food in your microwave and eat. Christ taught that it is good to do good on the Sabbath by healing those who needed healing on the Sabbath. Imagine Jesus turning a blind man away and not healing him because it's the Sabbath.

    7. Here's a logical answer as to why the law is still valid: Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Romans 3:31 I can't believe you asked this question Dr K...what does it mean to not be under the law??? You are under the law when you go against that law because you will have to face whatever consequence of breaking that law. You are NOT under the law when you don't go against that law because that law cannot judge you seeing you did nothing wrong against it. You are no longer under your tutor because you are doing what you were taught. If you do what you are not taught, your tutor is responsible for reminding you what you were taught. As you said, LOGIC.

    4. Jesus did not break the Sabbath, he was showing that the Pharisees were making the Sabbath a burden and imposing it onto people in the wrong way. Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? Luke 6:9 The disciples were not working on the Sabbath, they did not carry sickles or scythes to harvest, they were plucking directly into their mouths because they were hungry, not because they were going to sell. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, so you do as he does on the Sabbath, not as the Pharisees did. He did not disregard the Sabbath, he showed how to keep it. If someone injured your brother on the Sabbath, will you wait until the Sabbath is over to take him to hospital?

Colossians 2:16-17 says sabbaths, not THE SABBATH. It's deceptive to say Sabbath in the singular when the Bible says SABBATHS. It also says the BODY is of Christ (SOMA in Greek), not the substance. Substance is HUPOSTASIS in Greek. This is quite misleading from your side Dr. I would like an honest answer from you. Since you believe Colossians 2:16-17 means judgment in food or drink is no longer needed, are you honestly going to say drinking alcohol is good? Are you going to say every food is good for you? If a contract is fulfilled, is that contract then null and void? Can you now break any clause in that contract?

    2. The Sabbath is meant for mankind including Gentiles as seen in the commandments. Why would God say strangers should keep the Sabbath if it was meant for Israel ONLY? This is a play at the exact word fallacy where one seeks the Bible to be explicit whereas the meaning is there. Where was Israel when God rested on the Sabbath day? Why does God say the Sabbath will be kept by ALL FLESH if it was for Israel only? For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. I will do my best to answer the questions using the Bible and not tradition: 1. The Bible never claimed the Sabbath was for Israelites only. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: Exodus 20:10 The Sabbath is the Lord's, not Israel's. I follow the Lord of the Sabbath, not Israelites. 42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Acts 13:42 Gentiles kept the Sabbath along with the Jews because they were meeting under the same message. I could ask you to show me a where the Bible teaches that the Sabbath is for Israel ONLY, or where the Bible teaches Gentiles NOT to keep the Sabbath, but I won't be that petty.

The reason that the 7th day Sabbath was not explicitly commanded was because the apostolic church were already keeping it. Even the early believers were keeping the 7th day Sabbath under grace (Acts 13.42-44). More answers to come. God bless.

The Apostle to the Gentiles Paul was a Jew. Yet he did not tell the Gentiles to not keep the Sabbath when they requested for him to preach the next Sabbath (Acts 13.42). Paul admonished them to continue in the grace of God (Acts 13.43). The following Sabbath the whole city, Jews and Gentiles came to hear the word of God (Acts 13.44).

@@tafymroveke3874 It is Is important to quote scriptures within context, not out of context. Verse (KJV): Gal. 6:16 "And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God." The book of Galatians was written by the Apostle Paul to address the issue of legalism-specifically, the belief that Gentile Christians needed to follow the Jewish law (such as circumcision) to be truly saved. Paul strongly opposes this idea, emphasizing that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by the works of the law (Galatians 2:16). In Galatians 6:15, Paul states: "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature." This means that external religious rituals do not matter in Christ-what matters is being a new creation through faith. Galatians 6:16 then follows as a blessing upon those who embrace this truth.

The main issue at the end times is worship. Jesus Christ says that we must worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4.23,24). He also said vain worship is substituting tradition for the commandments of God (Matthew 15.9, Mark 7.7-9). Before Jesus Christ returns in Revelation 14.14,15; Revelation 14.9-12 warns against false worship, two distinct groups are mentioned. One group in Revelation 14.12 are keeping the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ, and the other in Revelation 14.9-11 are breaking the commandments worshipping the beast (breaking the 1st), his image (breaking the 2nd), receiving the mark of his name (breaking the 3rd) and not resting (maybe breaking the 4th?). • @drkKennedy
      @drkKennedy 9 годин тому

Isaiah 56:6 is not a direct command for all Gentiles to observe the Sabbath. Instead, it describes certain Gentiles-referred to as "sons of the stranger"-who voluntarily choose to join themselves to the Lord. These individuals commit to serving Him, loving His name, and keeping His covenant, which includes honoring the Sabbath. This passage is part of a broader prophetic message about God's inclusion of faithful non-Israelites in His covenant blessings. However, it does not prescribe Sabbath-keeping for all Gentiles as a universal law. Instead, it highlights that those Gentiles who willingly embrace God's covenant, similar to proselytes in Israel, would receive blessings. In the New Testament, the covenant expands to include all believers in Christ, where salvation is based on faith rather than adherence to the Mosaic Law (Galatians 3:24-25, Colossians 2:16-17, Romans 6:14-15). The Sabbath, as part of the Old Covenant, is not reiterated as a requirement for Gentile believers in the New Testament. Instead, Romans 14:5 emphasizes individual freedom regarding sacred days.

Man of God, you are a false preacher. You're misapplying scriptures in your efforts to promote errors. The book of acts doesn't say that the early christians met house to house to worship on Sunday. Breaking bread means to share a meal together not to worship. You misquoted again when you read from Corinthians, the scripture never said that the collection of money was done during the worship service on Sunday. Your biggest problem is that you want to be a teacher before you could be a learner. If your knowledge of prophecy was sound God would have shown you from his word what the SDA people of God have been give the ability to see. Which laws (commandments) were supposed to intend to change? ✓How do you make of these scriptures ? Please explain them for me if you would: KJV James 2:10, 12 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. ✓ can you say that the keeping of the Sabbath is wrong and the keeping Sunday is write when the bible says if you break of God's law you will be guilty of all? Even in heaven we will be worshipping on Sabbath not on Sunday the false day of the week please read: KJV James 2:10, 12 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. ✓ either you are ignorant on what you're doing or you are being deliberate in your false teachings and busy trying to deceive the world with your deceit. @drkKennedy 9 годин тому

Thank you for you response. I appreciate you taking time to get involved in this engagement. I will you had picked a few questions and provided depth to them with scripture reference. 1. "Sabbath is since creation and is for all humans." The Bible records that God rested on the seventh day (Genesis 2:1-3), but nowhere does it say that He commanded Adam, Noah, or Abraham to keep the Sabbath. The first direct command for Sabbath observance appears in Exodus 16:23-30 when God gave manna to Israel. This is before the formal Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 but still directed only at Israel. 2. "There are few feasts that are called also Sabbath." True. Leviticus 23:24-32 refers to certain feast days as "Sabbaths," but they are different from the weekly Sabbath. The existence of multiple "Sabbaths" does not prove the universality of the seventh-day Sabbath for all people. 3. "Sabbath is not a shadow, shadows are the other feasts like Passover." Colossians 2:16-17 (NKJV) says: “So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” The passage explicitly includes "Sabbaths" as a shadow, alongside Jewish festivals. The Greek τῶν σαββάτων (tōn sabbatōn) in Colossians 2:16 refers to both weekly and ceremonial Sabbaths. Paul is clear that these were a shadow of Christ. 4. "Jesus did not break the Sabbath-it was a false accusation." John 5:18 (NKJV) states: “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.” The word "broke" in Greek (λύω - lyō) means "to loosen, destroy, or annul." Jesus healed on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:10-12) and allowed His disciples to pick grain (Mark 2:23-28), which was considered unlawful. In Matthew 12:5, Jesus referred to how the priests worked on the Sabbath and were guiltless, showing that Sabbath laws were not absolute. If Jesus never violated the Sabbath, why does the Bible state that He did? It was not the pharisees that said he broke the Sabbath, it is the writer, who said, not only did break the Sabbath but called God his Father. It was not a false accusation. 5. "False, only since the 4th century-Apostles met on Sabbath (Acts)." The Apostles met on both Sabbath and Sunday but never commanded Sabbath-keeping for Gentiles. Acts 20:7 shows the disciples gathering on the first day of the week to break bread and listen to Paul’s preaching. 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 instructs believers to set aside offerings on Sunday. If meeting on the Sabbath means we must keep it, then meeting on Sunday should also mean we must keep it. 6. "Since Genesis till Revelation." Genesis never commands Sabbath observance. Revelation 1:10 refers to "the Lord’s Day," which many early church fathers identified as Sunday. 7. "By law is wisdom about sin, salvation is only by faith." True, but Galatians 3:24-25 (NKJV) clarifies: “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.” If we are no longer under the tutor (the law), then Sabbath-keeping cannot be required for salvation. 8. "False." No explanation was provided. You cannot answer a question that says "Why Did Jesus Never Teach Sabbath-Keeping to Gentiles?" with false as an answer. 9. "Sabbath began in Genesis 1." This is incorrect. Genesis 1 describes the six days of creation but never commands Sabbath observance. God only gave a reason why he gave the Sabbath. Who kept the sabbath for more than 2000 years until it was conded in exodus. 10. "Mercy me-try to create real questions." But you have failed to answer the questions instead you have provided sweeping statement: How Do SDAs Reconcile the Stoning Penalty with Modern Sabbath Observance? The questions are valid and biblical. SDAs often struggle to answer why the Sabbath is not commanded for Gentiles, why the New Testament does not reinforce it, and why early Christians worshiped on Sunday.
