      HI Robert and thanks for the question, I use MASTER BLEND NUTRIENTS its a 3 part kit, you can buy online. As for the EC I don't have an EC meter, but I did have a PPM meter that broke over a year ago, soo I cant tell what the EC or PPM is. I did order a new PPM meter this week and still waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I will be making a video on PPM in a couple of weeks. Aloha Dean 🙏

    • @HYDROPONICS-INDOORS
      @HYDROPONICS-INDOORS 2 місяці тому

      HI, and thanks for the question, I do not own a PPM or EC meter, I know this sounds crazy, but the plants tell me what they Need? so I use Master blend @ 1/3 strength no matter what I'm growing in the system. (if the plants look a light green, then yes they need more nutrients @1/3 strength, water + nutrients and PH,ed to target ph. then add to reservoir.) (if the plants look a dark green then I Just and plain water PH,ed to target ph. then add to reservoir.) So the only meter I own is a PH meter. I think a lot of people make it more complicated then it needs to be. (Its pretty simple good water, a good nutrient and good lighting or sun light = growth Hope this helps. Dean

      @@HYDROPONICS-INDOORS Could you explain the potential causes for the elongation of the trunk and the poor development of the leaves in my hydroponic lettuces? Additionally, what hypotheses might account for the unusual morphology of my hydroponically grown lettuces? Thank you.

    • @HYDROPONICS-INDOORS
      @HYDROPONICS-INDOORS 2 місяці тому

      Hi, as far as the elongation it could be heat, make sure your reservoir temperature remains between 65 Fahrenheit to 75 Fahrenheit for water temperature in your reservoir. Also check the temperature of the top of the plant usually lettuce like it below 80°F as far as the seeds you wanna buy seeds, lettuce, seeds that are heat tolerant. I purchase my seeds from Jonny seeds and they do have summer varieties that do great in higher heat. They do awesome in a in a hotter environment. So basically, the cooler the better hope this helps. (I have just started my journey and am using the passive method hence the confusion over this video) Aside from that cuc's are definitely one of my crops I am going to be growing eventually :) Do you not need to cross polinate cucs or am I thinking of chillis

    • @HYDROPONICS-INDOORS
      @HYDROPONICS-INDOORS 2 місяці тому

      Hi and thanks for the questions, I’ve built it myself and it’s called the Kratky Air 2. Soo there is no confusion for me. It’s simply a kratky system with an air stone, and you can call it what you want! They are many different types of growing hydroponically. So choose the one that works best for you! Passive or non-passive…. Just remember keep it simple (seed+water+light=growth)

I am currently trying to work out how I am gonna hang my lights but for now the lousy Scottish summer sun is doing the job. None shade taken LOL as far as the cucumber seeds, they are different types that you can purchase. I purchased the type of seeds that you don’t need to pollinate because I grow indoors. Hi, I always just added water to my reservoir. If the plants are dark green I’ll just add plain tap water PH to target ph. If the plants are light green I’ll add some nutrients to the water then PH to the target ph. Hope this helps you Happy Hydroponics, Dean
