People who are worried about it need to be worried. I explained to my neighbor how license plate readers work. He thought the ones all over town were red light cameras. He was horrified, & I could see him turning white as I explained how they work & what the data is used for. He's a customer of prostitutes. It's all okay, until everyone knows. He doesn't want everyone to know. His wheels were turning as he realized the cops know where the girls work from, which hotels & apartments, & that seeing his car go there at 3 am to these different addresses means the cops know he is a client. Me, I live transparently. There is absolutely nothing to know about me that isn't known, so there is no secret to protect. We lost our privacy decades ago. That doesn't protect me from malicious use of surveillance, but countering it is useless. They know EVERYTHING. It's only a matter of what they choose to do about it.

I am looking for a PI to test a counter surveillance system. I tried contacting a few locally in the states and found no takers. Kinda sad, I really think I got a banger. I just want to hire a PI to attempt to follow me and see if the system spots them. What is the best approach to entice a PI to let me pay them to follow me around? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, does it just sound too shady? Like maybe it’s subterfuge for something else?

If you want to avoid mobile surveillance, look into establishing a surveillance detection route. You pick route that is improbable for general public to use the entire way to their intended destination. Then traverse the route yourself and have buddies correlating license plates and faces of people along this route. Anyone that stuck with you the entire route will get detected even multi-agent teams. If someone detected don’t let them know you have. Just casually forget your plans for the day and try again later.

If you think that you are being followed by someone that might want to do you harm, going into a narrow alleyway seems like a really bad idea.

I was under surveillance because I pointed out fraud happening at work and it suited the company for the fraud to continue as they were the beneficiaries.

In addition to the functional nuts and bolts of surveillance, I'd like to hear more from you about why a person would be under surveillance. Is it mainly corporate stuff or rich blokes hiring people to follow family members, or what? And if you do notice surveillance, what should you do about it? Do most people being surveilled have a good idea why it's happening? I'm a normal person who would have no reason to be surveilled. If I noticed surveillance and have no idea why, what should I do about it? Nothing? Should I try to ditch them? Should I assume it's probably the police or private outfit, and is there any way I could tell the difference? One of the 'Moscow Rules' is "Don't harass the opposition." Should I just act like I have no idea?

Wow, that first one is quite the riding problem. Looks like you have got to move your riding observations ahead a stage to allow you to then shift position to give a view on the subject as they take a turning and have a current enough view of up ahead to make ground. Great video. Its apples and oranges. I think the greatest mistake made is the misunderstanding of the difference between governmental and commercial surveillance. We as operatives in the private sector regularly have to do the job of 3 operatives due to budget constraints. Been explained very well

You need a comfortable bike due to being sat on it for long hours. Over the years I’ve had a range of bikes from a Kawasaki ZZR 1400 to an R1. I currently use a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX which has sports power but tourer comfort.
