Their audience was made up of some dance teachers/students/and a few volunteers bc it was not open to the public bc of COVID! They were dancing on a stupid makeshift dance floor not conducive to pointe and it was so slippery! Give them a break!

Again, this is NOT a professional school with certified teachers. Case in point: Dew Drop is even more senior than the younger flowers, and she was cast from "the best." Not that they cast using merit, but I digress.

@@Netortiz That's correct. The school is for recreational purposes, and in this way, kids can choose to learn dance for fun and exposure, not to become professionals. Not everyone wants to be a pro or can afford such training.

Why?

To be fair...this is not a professional school; this was their second year on pointe; and worse of all, they were dancing on a makeshift floor not conducive to pointe shoes, as they already anticipated slipping while dancing.

This was just the beginning of Wednesday morning. The hurricane wasn't here yet. There are people who lost everything in Tampa and Plant City too. He's just showing what the wind was like at first. I took a video of it early on too and then 8 massive trees fell on houses or power lines in my area alone, we also got floods, etc. A road is completely gone, buildings destroyed. Don't lecture this dude for something you CLEARLY know nothing about. This wasn't when Ian came through. This was hours before and barely the outer bands. He's not making light of shit. Obviously, Fort Myers got it worse, but there is nothing in the video suggesting he's making fun of anyone. You're making some massive assumptions based on a 20 second clip. Guess what? Tampa/Plant City are still a mess. People are getting rescued. So don't you dare tell people that went through this storm (and countless others-- I'm a native Floridian) how to behave. This is broad daylight. We got the worst of it between 7-2am..

Hey Shawn, this was my first hurricane, and it was still scary. As @Armed NotTriggered mentioned: we got the brunt of it between 7pm and 2am. We had winds up to 60mph, and we lost power and internet and cell service and water for several days. We didn't have the storm surge like those at the coast, but we still had to deal with an aftermath and damage. Anyway, this is just a record of what the pre-storm was like for us in a different part of Florida. I hope you can at least understand that not everyone died or lost a home or property in the hurricane. It affected millions of people differently. That's all.
