Changing emotions on the spot requires technique, training, and experience, as Romy demonstrates in this video. Making faces isn't acting-it's clowning. The audience can sense fake acting in an instant, and experienced directors and casting directors will spot it before they even shake your hand. Instead of thinking you can act, learn how to act.

That’s right. Acting isn’t a filter, as many bad actors believe. It comes from within and requires technique and training-especially when you’re on a real set, not at home. The stress and pressure of a real production make your ‘worst day’ at home seem insignificant. You have to deliver, memorize your lines, which might change on the day, relearn your marks because they all changed on the spot, all while working under the psychological pressure of other actors’ issues, directors, a sweaty crew in melting or freezing temperatures, running out of light, and dealing with some terrible attitudes here and there, all while hitting your emotional marks perfectly as, ultimately, it’s your face on the screen forever…. In other words, just another day at the real office.

Here it is-my 'Acting Challenge,' just like I promised! I made this video to see what all the hype was about with these viral #actingchallenge videos. Sure, it’s tough to nail it in a minute, and it’s great practice for actors, but at the end of the day, it’s just a game. A lot of people in these videos are faking emotions just to get views-and hey, I get it, views mean money, and who doesn’t want that? I know it’s not perfect, but I hope you enjoy it! I've had the opportunity to work with well-known actors, and overall, my experiences have been positive. However, there was one instance where an actor consistently stepped on my lines and added ad libs at the end of every sentence, making it quite challenging to maintain the timing of the comedy.
