Sounds like the Final Racer will be a much stronger 800m runner like a Marco Arop or Emmanuel Wanyonyi or someone who's equally good in both events like Hobbs Kessler.
Wanyonyi could run 3:30
The Paris 1500M final was the greatest 1500M race in the history of T&F.
Need to see that Hocker vs Kerley 600
Honestly as we get into the future physical sports will only get more popular because they are the only authentic thing around. big things to come.
Cole: I want the world record. Also Cole: yeah, I don’t like time trialing. Dude, what? lol
Just cause he doesn't like time trialing doesn't mean he won't do it for the record
Sign WANYONI the 800 goat RN
You can’t be the greatest of all time “right now.” Lol
Cole Hocker is not breaking the 1500m WR.
@@NelleBligh333 He wasn’t suppose to be The Olympic Champion either according to you doubters. Never under estimate Hoosier Grit and Determination.
@@Dirk-my2zf Winning Gold even at the OG is a completely different ball game to breaking El Guerrouj's record. Ingebritsen wants to break them all and even he says this one will be the hardest. There's a few guys who are low 3:27 or 3:28 who are as competitive as Hocker at this distance, of them only Ingebritsen has gone sub 3:27. btw Hocker barely races outside the US, he ran in Glasgow and that was nothing special so don't be surprised international fans don't know his racing well. I caught him at the US trials but only because I was lucky enough to be in the US at the time.
@@NelleBligh333 Hocker has THE OLYMPIC RECORD, no one, not EL G, NOT JI, Not Coe, not anyone has ever run faster in an Olympic 1500M Final than Hocker. NO ONE. Doubt all you like. If it is on his mind, then it is possible.
This interview is fantastic. Great questions and answers. Should be more likes and comments for this one.
You could see that Hocker was going to be this years Olympic 1500M Champ at the USA Trials and through the rounds in Paris. He had another gear that he didn’t show until the final in Paris. He was holding back until the final. Tactical Patience and Hoosier Grit.
Here first! Like my comment, if you can barely wait to watch the Grand Slam.
what if theoretically they tie on time as well? would you go down to the thousandths?
🙌🙌 so excited
Michael Johnson is still the King!!!!! He knows whole Athletics too, don't care if he had magical shoes!
They should get footballers to also sign up
🔥
I loved your old commercials saying, "It's ok to be fast". I'm glad you're helping the sport of track. If it's a big success, hopefully you can add the field portion soon after.
Looking forward to these events. Waiting to hear who else, beside Sydney has signed up. Hoping to hear Gabby, Rai, Sha', Noel, Bol, Curly, Kung Fu Kenny, Ana Crockrell, Pauline, Dina, Moraa & Grant all sign up soon. Good luck on this awesome venture.
I've been to the Grand Slam Track Website and watched MJ in a few interviews. The thing that bothers me is that there might be a bit too much emphasis on pop culture and social media influence of his GST chosen few. The MARKETING of GST is akin to a "reality show" track meet with the world's best... which I'm probably not interested in watching. I get what he's trying to do, but what my fellow boomer is missing is that pop culture and social media are fickle and easily manipulated. At the end of the day, with sport, "integrity" reigns (or at least the appearance of it). This is true no matter the age group or the sport. Since he's made comparisons to Grand Slam Tennis, its qualification is based solely on EARNED rankings... not popularity or socmed pages. No doubt T&F/Athletics needs a boost and I really want to see a Grand Slam format for T&F succeed, but he should be careful not to ruin the perception and integrity of the sport itself more than PEDs already ruined it some years back.
The concept is great but website is trash. It is hard to see what the events are if you go to the website.
Starting from next year, the T&F World Championships which are currently every 2yrs are going to become an Annual Champs in non-OLY years & will be the final meet of the season going forward, so this means there will be a WC in Tokyo Sep '25, Budapest Sep '26 & Beijing Sep '27 leading up to the OLY in LA '28. The current Diamond League competition which is the premier regular season T&F competition will be restructured to build up to each WC going forward!
I love this! My favorite meet outside of the Olympics is the US Trials. If there's an annual World Championships, I'm assuming there will be the prerequisite trials.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Absolutely remarkable!! One of our greatest of all time! 🎉💖
That's not a stat, that's a flex.
Donovan Bailey smoked him in the 1 on 1 race. Anyone remember that race?
Is it illegal for black Americans to speak correct English? “..on yourself?” ABOUT YOURSELF wtf
Languages change constantly!
@@moseskiyaga6299 no you dolt, grammar doesn’t change like that lmao

CAN'T FORGET THE GOLD SHOES .
Amazing.... Facts. The Best.
TALK YO SHHHH!
Good analysis. Of course the race is over but I just wanted to hear what you had to say. I love Gaby Thomas, btw.
Will there be similar price money like in the Toronto 150m race in 1997?
4 Olympic Gold Medals over 3 Olympics. Outstanding !
He was the fastest man alive
Donovan Bailey smoked him. He was 2nd fasted man alive
After winning 4 gold medals I believe
Joey Chestnut = 3 hot dogs in 24 seconds plus 100m in 22 seconds = 46 seconds total Usain Bolt (2024 version) = 3 hot dogs in 40 seconds plus 100m in 10.75 seconds = 50.75 seconds total
Do workouts with the signed athletes like Sydney it would bring attention🎉 ⚠️
Noah makes exuses when he loses. Horrible

Well said! You are such a great commentator and communicator.
Awesome! Track and Field Athletes need many more opportunities to shine. The World Championships and The Olympics are not enough. Let's Go.
Holy smokes…. You absolutely called it. Perfectly executed race strategy and insanely courageous finish. Cole will join the ranks of Steve Scott, Marty Liquori and Jim Ryun in the pantheon of great American middle distance runners.
I am looking forward to this league, seems very exciting. However, one statement was incorrect. We do not have to wait 4 years to see the best athletes compete; we see them in the world championships every other odd year.
3 stand out track moments - mens 1500m shocker, womens 400m hurdles rivalry and WR, womens 4x400 2nd fastest race ever.
amazing that MJ has middle and long distance on his horizon as well, with fairly competent insights.
Can't wait to hear the new signings, track desperately needs a good league.
Micheal, I have always wondered about a triple in the speed races. I look at someone like Tebogo and would love to see him run the 100, 200 and 400m flat. I believe is humanly possible, but what do I know? Has anyone ever tried it, man or woman? Do you think is realistic and be successful?
The scheduling would need to be VERY spaced out in order for it to happen. Otherwise no, that's an impossible task
Hope you succeed in your new endeavor. Hope it gets a lot of media attention.
Facts the training is the hardest
Homes.... love ya but what about the stretch drive in the 1,500 with Cole Hocker upsetting the favorites in Olympic and American Record time? you are showing your sprint and black bias ...sadly... and Josh Kerr is all in for your Grand Slam track is his getting beat the reason you don't talk his race?
Can only pick three and he picked bangers. Could've also said men's 400mh, sifan going crazy in the marathon after doing every other distance race, the women's 100 and 200. Like, damn, every race was a bamger but can only pick 3
I’m listening
