A bit disappointed at Paul. TFF are way bigger than he suggests. Tears for fears are radically different to the Beatles. There is a mastery of music that has surpassed a lot of what the Beatles accomplished. Show some respect Paul. I am a forever Beatles megafan. Likewise Tears for Fears.

He was being sarcastic and silly, but in a way, he misunderstands a wonderful album that only had one song that resembled the Beatles. Any other song on that album sounded like the Beatles,only like Tears for Fears. It would be better if he complained about Oasis,Oh that's right, the Gallagher brothers would say "F@! Off Paul😂"

Roland Orzabal is nuts about The Beatles. There are many tiny 'bits' of this evidence in Tears For Fears music. I think it is kinda funny and kinda sad that it would be narrowed down into just one giant over the top tribute example. Roland has decorated Tears For Fears songs with Beatles pastiche many times over.

What a silly opinion, I haven't found it ironic at all. Tears for Fears have been a great resource for the Music both in 80ies and our time. Paul should had been interested to that sound that reminded to Beatles but it was original and genial.

Whether or not it's a "Beatles tribute" it's a uniquely brilliant track in its own right. Influence yes, copying certainly not.
