By using analog film and natural light, he strips away the ability to constantly edit the artistic process, resulting in raw and authentic scenes based on trust. Guess when you have nothing to do and others are paying the bills, people make art out of solar panels while kids starve and die in the streets around the world. Gotcha!
How can you 'hate' on anyone who is trying to bring attention to the energy issues that we face. This is not meant to belittle the needs of people starving all over the world which is most certainly a terrible crisis. I'm sure if there was an opportunity for artist to create something to help and an organization that provides the means, many if not all of these artist would be happy to contribute... In the meantime helping children in Rwanda have light in their schools seems like a pretty noble cause to me. Let's try to support the creative endeavor that is here before us and work together in support of all causes that 'shine a light' on the worlds problems.
