    Don’t go with Leaf Filter, and I’m here to say why. I had them installed only on my back patio gutter, and it was $3,000. That was just a year ago this past March, and the gutter is already clogged. So I called them to have someone sent here to fix that. I just had a estimate done on 8/29/22 .,I have a ranch style house ,just straight gutter runs and the garage aswell(one side only on the garage).all together 201 lf of gutters and 5 down spouts.the quoate started out at $13,000.00,by the time they left it was at $6000.00 at a" todays only price."(high pressure sales tactic).the product looked like it was high quality,but I dont make snap decisions like I was being pushed in too.the price came to just under $30.00 per running foot,and that was cash price.what was your price per running foot?

    • @ProjectEric2024
      @ProjectEric2024 2 роки тому

      Todd, thank you for your comment. My house is a ranch style, single story 1700 sq. ft. home and nothing was wrong with the gutters except they were stuffed full of pine needles. I just looked at the invoice and I paid 31.95 per running foot. My salesman didn't pressure at all, he gave us the cost, I told him to go outside for ten minutes so my wife and I could discuss it and he came back in and we agreed to the deal. I'm going to post an update video in December after the pine needle shed is over for the year and I'll get up on a ladder all the way around my house and show folks how the Leaf Filter is working for us. Hope this helps.

      They always price it very high and then act like they're giving you a sweet deal. They called it senior citizens discount or a veterans discount or a sunny day discount or something of that nature. If you live in a snowy region then you're going to have issues come winter time. Ice is going to build up on the guards and any melt off you get from your roof will just run right over your gutters. Basically it renders them useless.

    • @dave2207
      @dave2207 Рік тому

      Yeah they used the same sales tactic on me, I sent them away with no sale. That type of sales tactic usually means something is wrong. Depending on how much debris you have around your roof line these guards probably will clog. You downspouts won’t but you will have to clean the debris off of the screens. Still more ladder time……..

      Hopefully you don't live in a place that gets a lot of snow and ice. The issue you're going to have with that is the snow builds up on the guard and melts and refreezes. Then when snow is melting off of your roof it'll run right over the iced over portion of the guard. They'll then try to say that your roof is not insulated good enough as an excuse. I used to inspect for them. That was one of the biggest complaints I always got. They just neglected to tell you during the sales process.

    Yes! I used to ride my bike down the canal from the upper end all of the time when I was a kid! I lived in Augusta for 30 years! Hopefully will be back one day to retire and settle down for good! My cousin and I also used to wade out and walk the rocks over on the river out to the main channel in the center and fish for stripers in the spring! So many memories, thank you for sharing!
