I have a ported barrel in my G19 storm lake barrel, I've shot +P 115 grain JHP and they flash just like this
OK, so do you think that barrel is a better option than going with the threaded compensator?
needs flash suppression :P
@Chrinik I´ve also already served, non of the guns (G36, P8, MG3) had visible flashes, so your load must be different.
Wow, what kind of load did you use so that the muzzleflash is visible in daylight...I´ve shot a Glock 17 a few times, without ports (there is a video of it on the account), and aside from sparks, there was nothing.
what barrel is that?
now that was cool
Yea, I can see using that in low light or at night
what kind of ammo were you shooting in this video?
@1616dasher Extended baseplate= +2 rounds.
oh my god turn your wall hack off, guys im backin out this is bullshit
lol cute! Good job!
Bailey is so cute 💗💗💗💗
Yea dude, I have a glock 17c and I've fired it at night, in the day time, and everywhere in between and it might as well be a regular gun because there is no such "purple spot" to speak of. It's non-existant. Myth busted
Too bad you don't know what you're talking about. Do you even have a compensated handgun? Or any compensated gun for that matter? Nothing noticable happens, with or without sunglasses, and in daylight or dark. You can't tell the difference. It's a myth that you have bought into.
can u say Muzzle flash LMAO....good vid
its the ported barrel
I've used porting before and can tell you its awesome. You have to customize the load to make sure the escaping gas equalizes the muzzle flip.Too hot a load and sometimes the barrell DIPS as opposed to flipping back. Get it right and its what I call "shooting a laser beam". Feels like recoiless shooting(i know its not). Traditionalists at the range scoffed at it until they tried mine- said they've never shot easier. Night? You can adjust to it. Burn your face if you shoot from the hip though.
What powder/load are you using to get such muzzle flash?, Mine just makes smoke!
If you're shooting at someone with a pistol, they're already pretty close to you. "Giving-away-your-position" is kind of a non-point. I'll tell you that at night those flashes can be a detriment to the shooter's vision, but on the plus side, your follow-up shots are so fast... Its a trade-off, no doubt, you get some advantage and you take some disadvantage. For most people, and especially experienced shooters, its worth it.
I don't know which barrel that is, but Lone Wolf Distributors makes exactly what you're looking for. On that shooting - damn, shooting fast is one thing, but you shot fast AND controlled the gun. Don't know where the bullets went, but where ever they are, they're together. No doubt a .45 is more deadly per shot, but 17 rounds of 9mm seems a bit more lethal than 8 rounds of .45. Especially when you put them all together like that. Good shooting!
Does the porting really help with gun control?
ColdSteel1911: Muzzle flash will give you away in a shootout, definitely; but if you're using a sidearm instead of a rifle, it means you're up close and personal so the person you're trying to shoot will probably already know where you are. 21C is way accurate and I love it but it's not my primary weapon for personal defense.
Nice muzzle flash! I have a ported GLOCK too (21C) - love it. Vlad: the flashes are very quick and short. They generally do not cause any trouble with site vision even while rapid firing.
Are you using Lone Wolf, and if so, does the muzzle blast effect site vision?
