Prior to doing this bleach bath and toning I did a few treatments of my own homemade stripper. I mixed head and shoulders shampoo with crushed vitamin c tablets and baking soda. This fades and strips the dye that is built up. Is there a reason you used head and shoulders and not a regular shampoo?
Head and shoulders is really good at stripping out color. This video is very old and I would probably do a lot of things differently now that I am a professional hairstylist.
I think Wells T18 toner is applied on wet hair ?
Bleach bath is also supposed to be on wet hair.
mixing t18 and t14 is perfect combo. for eliminating both gold and yellow :)
you actually didn't need to bleach . a good toner would have been fine.

Next time, you don’t have to bleach! Just use t18 +t14 and a 30 dev with the toner! And if you put a temporary color such as pink or blue, then Tone you’ll end up with a for instance - pink, you’ll get a grey purple color, like a awesome fashion color! If you put green then Tone, you’ll end up with a level 6-7 gun metal Grey!

Kortnee Walker at the time I made this video I was not trained. I am now a licensed cosmetologist and I will tell you. Diluting 30 vol with 10 vol DOES NOT make 40 vol!

Iv bleached my hair 2x and the red still not gone what should I do
I know this is an old comment but, you just got to keep bleaching it honey that's as far as you're going to get past the orange stage. It will take a while but please please use low developers as in nothing higher than a 20 or 30 maximum do not use 40. And please give your hair a break. I died wow bleached my hair 4 times in about 2 months and let's just say my hair is to my shoulders now and it was down to my butt and extremely healthy and is now very damaged and not even the blonde color that I want it. Going from dark to blonde at home especially is very hard and can be very damaging. Make sure you are saturating your hair with coconut oil And let it sit for about two hours before applying the bleach, also it will help a lot more if your hair is wet while applying the bleach because once believed to dries it stops processing and will not lighten anymore. But take it from me honey, even though it's embarrassing to go outside with orange or copper or patchy hair just trust the process and go very very slow your hair will thank you for it

Wrong. 10vol developer + 30vol developer = 20vol Wrong again. You mix 1 part toner + 2 parts developer.

Wish i could use just a couple scoops. I gotta hit about 8 scoops of bleach. I also never measure out developer unless its in the instructions. I just mix it to the consistency my hair dresser gets hers too
If you cant find iso color, I find that Goldwell Colorance works pretty well also :)
If I can make a suggestion, is to buy ISO i color permanent color in 100AA and apply it with 15 volume deveoper or 20 volume (depending on health of your hair). At this stage it will just deposit ashy color on your head, and will look very pretty. And because its permanent it wont wash off as quickly (will get you through a few months rather than weeks). After that I recommend that you buy a ISO purple "SIlver shampoo", it is the best of all purple shampoos that I 've tried.

most of the people I watch when they are showing what they got at cosmetology their maniuqan(SC?) heads hair look really messy short and really nappy but yours looks really neat.

if you mix t14 and t18 wella toners it will get rid of the rest,t18 is more for yellow brassiness while t14 is more for Orange/red brassiness the two combined takes care of both.

Would it be ok to use 30 vol with toner ?
nikie leos no toner is meant to deposit color only, toner and Demi colors are the same thing , you use double 10 vol . The wella boxes say 20 vol cuz you could get extra lift but I always do double 10 for any demo/ toner I'm doing

Can I use a 30 developer for T18 ?
Nooo! Never ever use higher than a 10 or 20 volume at the highest developer for a toner. You will definitely fry your hair there's no need for a 30 developer for a toner
I play volleyball and I'm going into middle school . if my volleyball career doesn't go any farther it's my dream to become a professional cosmetologist I love to do hair , makeup , and nails or anything beauty.

Do you think a bleach bath would work for lifting roots?
Yes
Roots are the first thing to lift because that's where the most heat comes from from your head and your scalp. So honestly from a bleach bath you would most likely get pretty much bright blond if not extremely light orange Roots which can easily be toned or you can just re bleach them but honestly you don't need a bleach bath for Virgin Roots. A regular bleach would do fine

I don't see how mixing a lower developer to a higher developer could ever possibly cause a developer number average that's lower. If you have a 30 volume and you add a 10 volume...you're raising the strength bc you're not adding plain conditioner. I've always been taught that adding conditioner to developer is the only way to weaken it. Developer does not work like it did in math where you take two values and make an average that's somewhere in the middle of the two values.
this was before i went to school, i dedinktely didnt know what i was doing ba k then. i am now a licensed professional hair stylist and i know that this video is a bit incorrect, sorry!

Example So if I have half a can 125ml of 30 % alcohol and I have a can 125ml of 10% alcohol dose my one can 250ml now have 40 % alcohol content? Do sent sound right to me ....
The lower volume will have a less concentration of hydrogen peroxide and more parts of other contents, when you add it to the higher volume developer you are also adding more parts of the other ingredients and less of the active ingredient. Adding parts of elements. You see it in chemistry.

+Rate Works it all depends, usually we use 10 just to deposit, but yes if the hair needs additionaly lift it may be good to use 20. but its just demi
