Jazz & Blues - Play Time Piano - Level 1 Played by Friendly Noise
#playtime #jazzpiano #piano
This is the first video of the Piano Playing series. The purpose of these videos is to expose myself while playing. This is some natural kind of fear that you must fight in order to play better: let people hear you, let people see your mistakes, let people compare your playing to other available versions. If you get past this fear, you are on your way to better learning and better playing, whatever that may mean. The sound signal flow is way beyond perfect. At the moment of the recording only old PC-computer speakers and the microphone on the smart phone were available.

Dope!!
The king in the analog polysynths world.
With all respect to Yamaha CS-80, Andromeda A6 is way more advanced analogue polysynth that comparison makes no sense. Actually, Andromeda A6 is the best analogue synth ever made, with Roland Jupiter 8 and Moog One being highly respected followers.
@@hanamanova5514 Both are classic synths and different wonderful machines. I had the privilege to play a brand new CS-80 for sale and it was AWESOME!!! Everything good you hear about the CS-80 is real. 😃😃
There is nothing close to Andromeda A6 in the synths world. Moog One is a respectful attempt, though.
@@hanamanova5514 I guess that people know better and love more other polysynths because of the lack of famous songs featuring the A6. Vangelis and prog-rock is CS-80, 80´s pop is Prophet 5 and Jupiter 8… But where is is A6-music?
@friendlynoise Yes, the lack of celebrities playing it or hit songs. But most of owners are very satisfied.
Late for the party but yes. Fuzzes (especially the velcro type) are awesome for drum anihilation. Heavy compression/limiter and good old eq/filter too. When I'm on a mood for noise shenanigans, that's the sauce. 😂
Odessey on my mpc x and the 2600 is an awseome combo lol midi and vc control from the mpc x to the 2600 anything is possible. i like odeessey to the 2600. also can use many other synths from the mpc x it gets weird real quick like.
I have the same 2600 and the Nightsky and i use both in the same way with some spring reverb like u. This combo always sound big and misterious, electrical and retrofuturistic...love it. I recomend use the secuencer inside the Nightsky with midi for shine somo rithym in the chaos
So Gorgeous ... Excellent Musical Articulations
Incredible results! I need to push the Panharmonium a little higher on my wishlist.
❤️🙏
There's a V2 version of the Jupiter-4 that added a Circuit Mod to browse through different trims on the internals..
great demo! I just subscribed!
Vaya..😀
TB-3 is great, I have 2🎉🎉
OMGWTF ! 😂
Sounds like it maybe sounds great, but can't tell because didn't turn off that f'ing rd-6 the entire time seemingly. Sigh...
Really should start with synth and pedal solo. Then after add the drum machine.
My current favorite is the MXR 104. Does the super fuzz sound as good or are there smaller fuzzy sounds and less hard diode clipper style sound?
complete rubbish... don't make people waste their precious time with your stupid and deceiving videos boy.
Anda yo creia que eras aleman!
You can use the Customizer App on windows 11, make your patch for the module you want to change, save as a .bin file or .wav file or .mp3 file then transfer to a iPad or iPhone & playback using, voice recorder app with 3.5mm cable from iPad, iPhone headphone socket to the remote input of the module. Mine works fine using this method, bit off a faff but at least it works !
@@myretrogeardemos Good to know that it works… after all the work!
Vaya..👏🏼
i had this pedal, it sounds really really bad... there are better but not the same price.
Vaya..❤
My dream minimalist setup. Could you do another vid with less crazy FM on the Obie, and keep it basically as a bass machine seqd by the 303 so we can hear its screaming oscillators and amazing filter sweeping through sequences in the bass range? I have a 72 whiteface Oddy with patchpoints at every slider, so it's basically a 2600 Minimoog. I would gladly trade it for your SEM!!!!!
Very organic and analogue sounding. Well done.
@@dillipphunbar7924 And yet only digital modules were used. 😎
I am enamored by the Miasma distortion. ❤ 🔥 subscribed ✨️ 🙏
Incredible demo sounds!
Vaya..❤
Is it possible to put some of the additional modules inside the Demorra’s feedback loop, with the editor or with patching?
@@apossibleworld Hi, you have to use the editor in order to add, delete or freely change the order of the (up to 6) modules in the signal flow. The main module in the unit (delay in the Demora) can be always present or bypassed. So there is a maximum of 7 active modules in the unit. The virtual patching is very flexible.
@@friendlynoise Your videos sound awesome, and I have a laptop with an old OS that will still run the editor. I’m wondering about inserting effects inside the feedback loop itself… like when delays have a tone control so the repeats keep changing, or weirder stuff. I am doing this on the Meris LVX, which is sort of a modern version of Demorra, but without external patch points. Anyway, great stuff you are doing!
@@apossibleworld Thanks for your comment. I guess what you are trying to do should be possible with the editor. One of the included factory patches is Demora_damp_high. As far as I remember can, the patch included two low pass filters. You can build feedback loops, too, but watch your ears and audio devices before patching up a screaming monster!!
Vaya..❤
Thanks a lot! 🤟
@@JustTEKKNO You are welcome. 🤗
the whole Aira line was wonderfully self integrated system that should stand the test of time. my money printing machine would buy the entire line as a collectors piece. you got a scooper? love to see some love on that. the current draw doesn't make the modules feasible for eurorack. big boys to be sure compared to most, but you can see the potential.
@@JMGtII Yes, I’m lucky to have the entire line in a Roland eurorack case. 😎
@@friendlynoise THAT'S a power supply!
@@JMGtII Indeed. 👍🏻

Acid Vangelis.
Hi, FriendlyNoise. Have you heard from Barry recently?
@@Warp_Head Hi, no news from Barry recently. I guess he likes to work silently.
Thank you for your fantastic presentation !
could you provide the seaboard template for this ?
@@rudyclark1991 Thanks for asking. Let me take a look. Maybe I still have it. In any case, the patch is nothing fancy, as far as I can remember. It was the FM depth controlled by the finger movement from front to rear what made the sound special.
@@friendlynoise would be amazing to have the patch!
@@rudyclark1991The patch should be still in the Digitone, unless some of the firmware updates erased the user patches. I’ll take a look. 👍🏻
Does the Andromeda have VCOs or DCOs?
@@MonetaryGain They are real VCOs, but there are several ways to tune then, which can really affect the way the instrument feels and sounds. With the more efficient version, the oscillators will behave similarly to DCO. With all tune options switched to off, the oscillators will drift like in the old days. :-)
Thank - you for the Upload 🎶😎🎶
Oh my god! That is so sick! Is there anything out today that has this sound?
@@redirishmanxlt that’s the magic of some old synths. They just sound good. No processing of any kind needed. 😃
@@friendlynoise That's sad. Well at least people like yourself are capturing the sound for people like me.🙂
Excellent work. Been doing these exact sort of experiments ever since plugging it in. It is so damn versatile.
Is the software still available for patch customization?
@@matiasorpi Yes: www.roland.com/uk/products/aira_modular_customizer/ But I don’t know in which computers it will work. Good luck!😉
Very crisp digital filter bubbles :)
@@kaitlyn__L Yeah, not the smoothest filters… 😅 I still have to experiment with different input levels in order to see if the sound quality change. Anyway, the real strength is having several filters at once and the freely configurable signal routing.
great
I read the detractors and skeptics abd critics claiming the A6 had no bottom end, it was thin. As a new Andromeda owner I can say those claims are unfounded Rubbish! It’s the best poly analog I’ve ever played, It is rather deep so an advanced understanding of synthesis is required. As to the claims that it will sooner than later become a useless brick, that random knob adjustments will happen, I took mine apart and within two hours I had all the pots cleaned out and now it functions perfectly. Yes, The ASIC processors are nearly impossible to replace but those are the components that last a long long time. Any piece of electronic gear has potential for death, but that is a really restrictive/paranoid way to live. This demo set really demonstrates the Complexity, The andromeda is a hard wired modular 16 voice fully analog my masterpiece of electronic instrument design. I did replace the green screen with a blue/ grey “negative” screen I bought from the UK. Big difference, This synth is worth every pretty penny I payed for it. Buy one now before they get too pricey. Ask yourself, How many 20 year old synths nearly triple in price? This is a rolls Royce. I’m so proud of myself!
@@LesFarrington I guess that the A6 will remain a holy grail of synthesis for some people and a nightmare for some others. It’s good to hear that you are one of the people who came to love and enjoy this beautiful beast. 😃👍🏻
Four years I have read all the nightmare scenarios on the Andromeda. It’s gonna fall apart, and you’re gonna be stuck with the dead synth. The values change sporadically. It has no low, end, it sounds thin. All of this is pure bullshit. I took my Andromeda apart, and in two hours I had all the pots sprayed clean. The processor is probably difficult to find, but that’s not the kind of bang that breaks down. As far as the sound, it has an incredibly big end and very defined. it can be as thinned as you want or as thick as you want. I think the main problem is that it’s very synthesizer. People who don’t really know much about synthesis or judging this instrument by its presets. You know what you’re doing, this synthesizer is a masterpiece , I bought mine all the bullshit people were saying about it and came to the conclusion that truly it is a bunch of bullshit. I think it is the pinnacle of analog poly synth. Nothing comes close
Thank you for the comparison and the info!
Is this one original recording track or did you layer a couple takes? See that you added some fx, it sounds absolutely massive.
@@JoeM1314 The added reverb and delay make the sound even mightier. But there is not multitracking. 😃
@@friendlynoise Just purchased a P10, will receive it next week. Thanks for demoing!
@@JoeM1314 Great news. Enjoy yourself and the new instrument. 😃👍🏻
Must have one NOW!
