Exploring the Art Island of Japan
This is the final video from my solo travels around Japan!
You guys really enjoyed my last video exploring the Japanese countryside, so I thought I’d create one more exploring this beautiful part of Japan (and we grew by 20 subs in one video which is pretty cool)
In this video I visit Naoshima Island, also known as Japan’s “Art Island” for its incredible contemporary art and architecture. This trip didn’t exactly go as planned, but it ended up being one of my favorite experiences in Japan without a doubt!
My next video is a special one I’ve been editing for a while, and I think you’re all going to love it-so make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it!

In this video I continue my solo journey around Japan, in Kyoto! After spending a few days seeing some incredible architecture and immersing myself in the historical city of Kyoto, I head off to my next location, where I camp out for the first time in Japan!! (it goes horribly wrong) On another note... this is my first video I've edited with Davinci Resolve (rip filmora), so it might feel a lit...

This journey to Tokyo did not go as planned. I wasn't going to post this because the trip was extremely distressing and not the greatest memory, but I think it ended up a nice video and I hope you liked it. Beautiful video! I studied abroad in Japan 10 years ago and Naoshima is one of my fondest memories. This was a nice nostalgic reminder of that lovely island. Thanks for sharing!
I put a wee clip of me playing piano at 11:30 as a bit of a reward for those who stick around to the end. Let me know if you made it! 👀🔥
I’ve really missed this type of video on UA-cam! Visiting the Japanese countryside is literally my dream. Thank you for this video, you did an amazing job capturing and sharing the beautiful atmosphere of this place!
That's very kind of you, thank you!
This was beautiful.. I want to travel there.
Love it! btw which part of japan is this?
Onomichi! It's just on the outskirts of Hiroshima
I love the peaceful theme you brought to the video, almost representing the feeling I’m sure you must of had when you seen that absolutely euphoric view at the end. Also the video most definitely does not do justice to how big of a hill that was to climb lmao. Such a cool video Jason. Editing is so good too.
Thanks so much man! It was so surreal, and I’m glad the feelings came through in the video. Really glad you enjoyed it!
very nicee!
Thanks!

Where are you brother it's been a while 🥹
Hey man thanks for following along! I’m back home now, but I still have a few more videos to share. University has kept me busy, so I’m a bit behind on posting. I just uploaded a new video, and another will be out on Monday - keep an eye out!
What made you travel to Japan? It's my dream to travel to Japan one day.
Thanks for the comment! Japan’s always been a dream of mine too. I’ve just always been fascinated with the culture, the people, and how safe it is. Luckily I’d friends to spend the first part of my trip with in Tokyo, before solo travelling. I’m an architecture student, so that was definitely one of the main reasons for this trip, as it’s always been a dream of mine to become an architect in Japan. It was also a great chance to practice my Japanese. I really hope you get to go, it’s an incredible place!
You might consider buying cooling spray/gel (3-4 bucks) and mosquito repellent spray so that you can sleep comfortably at night. Also, have fun in Japan!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate the advice!!
