I do believe they are. I rewatched the video... I use a wide angle lens, this always makes everything nearer the frame look bigger. Most of the time Mia was nearer the frame throughout. However! I do often see that they seemed pretty relaxed with weight classes at this location. This I am guessing, is due to about of ladies that come to this small island to train. They outnumber the Thai ladies, and the Thais don't see weight class as a huge issue at this level.

@@AwakeningFightersInspire Oh was it that last kick at 10:46 that made her want to stop...? Yes the after-fight backstage part is great for helping us see the fighters as whole people.

I have been trying to do it a bit more and more each time, since you suggested it on another video. It definitely adds a new interesting layer. I'll be honest, it's quite difficult for me to do, as it feels a little intrusive. This might just be my perception, in my own head. The other Emer Fitzgerald fight I asked her how she felt afterwards, on film. I didn't feel right talking to or filming her opponent, as she was in obvious pain. Once I was done, Emer did come and say thank you for speaking to her after the fight. So again, I thank you for inspiring me to do so more.

@@AwakeningFightersInspire Thank you for your thoughtful reply. At the end of most fight videos they focus on the winner who is usually having a big celebration. But my feeling is that the "loser" is just as much a part of the event and deserves to have equal attention paid to their thoughts and feelings.

Short answer, sadly no. It is something I have been wanting to address for quite a while. My camera, 10 years ago, was a super expensive top of the range camera, but it's now very out of date. I have been saving for a new camera, and hope to have it by the end of the year. Ideally, I need a second person also. I'll get there eventually!

Wow, thank you for that comment! I have been hoping that others find the preparation part as compelling as I do. I love all the different emotions and try to keep it as real as possible! Your comment inspires me to do more! In regards to the two nasty knees to the face.... poor Fah is in surgery yesterday getting it seen too. Her nose was broken, and she had to wait over 24hrs before surgery. I can confirm there is no beef between them!

I think it is valuable for viewers to know what happens after a fighter gets injured: most videos just show the winner celebrating. It could be great to see some "behind the scenes" after the match as well as before.

You're not the first person I've heard say that. For me that doesn't make sense though. She's had 227 fight 221 victories. She' fought pretty much everyone, why would she be scared of anyone? I think its more likely ONE didn't want the fight. I have heard story after story from different athletes of how disrespectful they can be to anyone that they're not hyping. Every promotion does it, but ONE seem to be the worst at it. Sundell does deserve the hype ofc

Interesting take for sure! Mostly I'd agree , butt when we take "juniors" into the equation, in our opinion its fair that some fighters are just in a different league. Many Juniors will drop off and realise its simply not for them. I suppose, the junior section of someone's career is more when fighters realize they are fighters or not. But your opinion is noted for sure!

Yes a real shame! Personally I'm happy that a legend has taken control of thier own legacy. Real shame for ua fight fans, but I'd rather the fighter control their history than the promotion!
