To get here we took the Ngong Ping Cable Car, which is a 30 minute cable car ride straight through the mountains of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Look 60fps is better
Is this the free one? Are there public transpo available going back to the main city?
In low light?
Evening time, but of course it isn’t very dark in Chinatown with all the lights. However the Pocket 3 performs very good in low light.
@@jelledobma: Hello friends, how are you? Thank you very much for your answer. I asked about the low light issue because, at this very moment, I am watching videos that were recorded at night with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. I will be arriving in Bangkok soon and I will buy one.
@@jelledobma: So, even in a night environment but with plenty of light, as was not the case in the video, there is no need to use low light. The quality is very high, right?
There are several videos in night time on my channel. I find the pocket 3 good in low light.
Great... I'll watch the videos, my friend!!! Thank you very much!!! I'll buy it as soon as I get to Bangkok@@jelledobma
Are you using the continuous focus or single focus on this video? And is this standard PO3 lens or wide angle lens on it...Nice video, BTW
Thanks! Standard lens. The wide-angle distorts quite a bit unfortunately. I don’t remember what focus mode I used here. Most of my videos have single focus so it won’t hunt if someone walks in front of the camera, the autofocus is pretty good though.
@jelledobma I think that is a huge difference I see in your videos. There's amazingly almost no focus hunting and breathing. So you basically just set it to single and leave the square box in the middle? And other secrets to share? 😄
@TrailAmbience usually I use 10-bit d-log M or HLG and put a LUT on it in post. Most of the time I use ND filters, manual shutter and auto ISO. That’s about it I guess 😅
@jelledobma thank you, going to play around with single focus as focus hunting for continuous focus mode is a pain
@TrailAmbience good luck!
Nice beautiful walk 🤗😊👍🎉🎊

Thank you! 😊
God Morgen sir
The video seems to be uploaded in HDR mode. Does it record in HDR mode (like the Iphone’s HDR mode) ?
Yes. You can choose either ‘normal’, 10-bit D-Log M or 10-bit HLG. The HLG option gives you a ready-to-go HDR file. I still like to edit this file slightly so it looks good on my MacBook Air screen (and with that I suppose most consumer phones, laptops and TV’s). UA-cam automatically detects that it is a HDR file and shows the video in HDR to those watching on a HDR screen. Everyone else sees a converted SDR video.
But do note that the Pocket 3 doesn’t do computational video like the iPhone does. The iPhone does tone-mapping on the fly exposing parts of the image differently to create, what Apple thinks is, the most pleasing video. The Pocket 3 can give you ‘unedited’ video that you have way more control over, and I think that looks more natural.
How kuch does the boat charge? Will it be difficult for 83 old to climb last 430 m?
I’m not sure what the boat would cost, but it can’t be too much. It’s a long tail boat so you probably have to climb in it, which can be challenging. The climb itself is not that hard, but in Thailands heat it can be tough. If you’re somewhat fit, take it slow and bring plenty of water then it should be fine!
Are you holding the camera or is it strapped to your backpack?
I’m holding the camera in my hand
Is this recorded with the internal microphone? Did you perhaps use a mist filter with this?
Yes, internal microphone, but no filters.
@@jelledobma Thanks for replying, great looking footage.

Great walk😊
Thank you!
Hi there. Would be visiting Thailand next month. Where would you suggest I can buy pocket 3 from Bangkok at good price. I have noted 3 dji stores. Would be requiring vat refund too so not sure can get from small shops. Thank you 🙏
Hi. The Pocket 3 is very popular in Thailand and was very hard to find and on back order for a long time. I had pre-ordered it before release and I’m not sure how it looks now. You can check many shops, for example at the CentralWorld shopping mall there is a DJI shop and next to it you’ll find the Big Camera shop that I purchased mine. Every shopping mall basically has the same shops, so it’s worth checking multiple malls. Prices are the same everywhere. Enjoy your trip here!
@@jelledobma thank you very much. What about Pattaya? Whether there are many stores in Pattaya? If so after landing I can take bus and go straight to Pattaya. If you say Bangkok is better then I will stay 2 or 3 days in Bangkok. Will be buying drone too so looking for good deal.
Since Pattaya is much smaller you’ll have fewer shops and a smaller chance with that, but they do have a few of the same shopping malls as Bangkok. I don’t really like Pattaya so I haven’t been there much, but it depends what you’re looking for. If the camera is really important then I’d recommend taking a day in Bangkok so you can visit a bunch of malls to see if you find it. If you can’t find it in the main shopping mall area (Centralworld, Siam Paragon) I’d recommend checking Central Rama 9 and the Fortune Town IT mall on the other side of the street. Lots of camera shops there. All very central and easy to reach by sky train, subway or taxi.
@@jelledobma sir sorry for asking too many questions. Will there be good deal during Songkran? If so I will plan to land on April 11 or 12 and stay for 3 to 4 days in Bangkok. If there won't be any major discounts/ offers then I will visit Thailand by March end itself. I would be buying pocket 3 as well as dji mini 4 pro and even if I get 1000 baht discount I would be saving something 😁 Thanks for your time and suggestions. Noted down everything what you said 🙏
No worries! I don’t think there are any special discounts on Songkran. Also, it seems that DJI has managed to have the same prices at all (serious) shops that sell them so it really doesn’t matter where or when you buy. Just buy at the shop where you feel you get the best help and service.
Nice walk 😊👍
Thank you!
How to set up hdr with ozmo pocket 3? How do I set it up when I upload it to youtube?
The whole process is a bit tricky actually and it took me quite some experimenting and hunting on UA-cam to get it right. But on the pocket you have to use PRO mode. Then you can select the color space where you chose 10-bit HLG. I find that I have to underexpose a bit, but you can experiment with that. In editing you have to edit in a ‘wide gamut’ color space. So I use Final Cut where I open a new library in Wide Gamut. Then when I create a new project inside that library I tell it to be in Rec. 2020 HLG. Don’t forget to apply the Pocket 3 LUT to your footage with the settings of Rec. 2020 HLG and adjust to taste. I usually brighten the shadows a tad to retrieve some detail there. For exporting I used a bunch of settings I found somewhere online to set up the correct profile in Compressor, so UA-cam will recognize it as HDR footage and process it accordingly (usually takes them some days, so be patient) I suggest searching for each topic separately on UA-cam. There are plenty excellent videos explaining the different procedures. Good luck!
I'm a big fan of Your Channel. Excellent.
Thank you! I’m happy to hear that!

Many great views in Bangkok! Thanks for watching!
The automatic mode from the cams makes an artifical look like computer animated. It might be better to work with nd filters next time for more cinematic look.
You’re absolutely right. I have shot a driving video here in Bangkok yesterday, with ND filters on both my DJI Pocket 3 and Action 3 cameras to keep the correct ‘180 degree’ shutter speeds, and it’s day and night. However, the Insta360 can’t use ND filters unfortunately, so I experimented with this software motion blur they offer in their Studio program. I think with the right settings it might be ok, but in this video it’s a bit too much, I agree. This is also not helped by the much lower image quality of the Insta360 X3. Another challenge with ND filters is that it will negatively affect the digital stabilization in the action cams like the DJI Action 3 (and the Insta360 would it take filters). So more experiments are needed so find the correct settings and mounting hardware. But we’ll get there eventually!
@@jelledobma sounds good. I know there are no filters for Insta. Your video showed me that my decision not to buy the Insta was the right one. If possible, try 120 fps at 1/240. This means that less light comes into the camera and the image remains smoother. Thank you for showing this example
That’s a good idea. However I don’t think the Insta360 does 120fps at high resolution. But yes, maybe a ‘regular’ action cam on ultra wide could replace it, if it can remove the selfie stick. That would give a much higher quality in all ways. Something more to research 🧐😊
Wow! Very beautiful place. Are there appartments for rent in that area? It seems a lovely and quiet place to live.
I’m not sure, but they could easily rent out those higher floors. I’ve been inside some of those buildings a few years back and they would make for excellent apartments! Very tranquil!
_Cool and interesting walking tour video, the beauty, a unique and exciting of marvelous Dragon Town scenery are clearly and distinctly explored. Thank you for sharing this wonderful town with the world._
Thank you very much! It’s a beautiful place!
Beautiful
Thank you!
Great quality video.
Thanks! The little camera does great!
I bought one too. Thanks for the tour. Do you have an overheated issue?
Not at all. You can see my video ‘walk in the park’ where I walk for about 70-80 minutes while filming one long take of 4K 60fps HDR. In the sun. A few days ago I even had it strapped to my chest on a 1,5 hour motorbike ride in the Thai sun. Both using the battery handle. No problems at all!
A little update to this, I just released a 2,5 hour video filmed on the pocket 3 in 4K 10-bit. All shot here in Bangkok in 1 long take in an out 32 degrees Celsius and sunny weather. I used the battery handle which produces a bit of heat while it charges the camera, but I had no issues at all. The camera performed perfectly!

I came from the Pocket 2. The image quality is really good on the Pocket 3, but equally good is the usability upgrades with the larger screen among others. It’s a much nicer camera overall, just slightly bigger.
