We only go to Delaware in the summer and I mostly fish freshwater when I'm there. One of these days I'm going to visit in the fall/early winter and do some tog fishing. Tight lines.

Childhood memories last forever! The fishing is nice at IRI. I bet the fishing is pretty amazing for the yellowfin tuna in SD! Hope you visit IRI one day and fish the inlet again.

Any type of Structure it seems to be the best right now for the flounders. Drifting is always the best for flounders.

Hope this answers your question. When you are dropping the line, make sure your thumb is touching the line when releasing. It helps to control it while guiding it. If your retrieval is binding, there might be an issue where the line is not tight enough on the spool.

@@dmvfishingdude oh yea for sure I got a Penn fathom I use for seabass and fluke offshore but hearing from people that using over 8oz was getting bonded up stripping gears and stuff

I definitely have seen others get a bird nest with the line. I am not sure what line your using, but highly recommended braided line. Mono line can be tough because of the diameter thickness. Hope it helps! Enjoy the rest of the fishing season!

Definitely tough this year. I have never been on the Grizzly, but have heard he’s a GREAT Capt and his charter is very good. Hopefully the flounder bite will turn on soon. September and October has been really good for me in the past.
