I use fresh picked raspberries as I own actual wild Alaskan raspberry plants from Alaska itself. I live in Alaska.

Just made this quick raspberry jam recipe today. Thanks for the recipe, it turned out very good. The only thing is I cut down the sugar to 1/2 cup and it's plenty! 1 cup and 1/2 is too much sugar.I could even cut it down to 1/4 cup. Being on a keto diet, I made another batch sugar-free using monk fruit sweetener and it's delicious. I used 1/2 cup of monk fruit, I will cut it down to 1/4 cup next time I make it! Thanks again!

Lemon juice for the acidity or flavor? I ask because while I don't have lemons, I do oddly enough have citric acid.

You should use wooden or plastic spoon in the future. The scraping and banging the metal spoon is torture on the ears.

For everyone complaining that there are only 3 ingredients... LOVE is the 4th ingredient, ok? You should know that. Every home chef knows that.

I agree! Its better than the processed stuff you buy from the shops, 3 ingredients is amazing you know what goes into it

My raspberry are much to sour can I use less sugar and still have a good jam

Rasheeda Elahie You can change the ratio of fruit and sugar, but that will affect the final texture of the jam. The sugar also helps to keep the fruit from burning from the high heat - most recipes will use a larger proportion of sugar to fruit than this recipe.

Best method that tastes delicious Weigh your raspberries and then weigh the same amount of sugar. You can use jam sugar or caster sugar. I prefer caster sugar. Put your raspberries in to a pot and mash and stir until boiling. Then slowly add sugar and boil again. Then turn down the heat and simmer for ten mins. Then stir once more and leave to cool down. When cooler but not set pour into jars and wait until it is set and has the same consistency as jam. When pouring into jars it may look too runny but that's perfect! It will set thicker You can also use this method with strawberries

You must be storing this in the refrigerator? I did not see that you used a canning process for shelf storage.

Karen Jones I was thinking the same. Once its mixed & divided between containers (I'm assuming here) then you place containers in the refridgerator until ready to use ??Does it have to sit in the refridgerator for a specific amt of time? If so, how long??? I know its probably a basic question that everyone else but me knows the answerbto😂 but unless I do recipes verbadem they will inevitably turn out completely different from what they are destined to be!!😂Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time to answer my question.🍇🍞
