I just wanna say this song, and particularly this cover, quite literally saved my life. When I was 19, I was in the pits of drug addiction and homelessness, and my one remaining friend OD'd, had a heart failure, was on life support for two days, somehow survived, and then told me they were done with drugs, done with me and my bullshit, and leaving town to try and get better, or, i guess, if they died, to go be with their family. At the time, doctors still didn't know if they'd live or not, and i didn't know if I'd ever see them again. Luckily we both got better, and we've long since made up. But at the time, fuck. I had burned down my life, my body, my soul, and i had just lost my last and best friend. I went on a bender to end all benders, basically trying to kill myself. Eventually i had enough and cleaned up, thank god. But during those few months, I listened to this cover on repeat almost constantly. it was the only thing that gave me any solace. I couldn't listen to much else, because any song happier than this pissed me off, but any song sadder made me feel like I'd shatter beyond repair. The steady rhythm of your strumming, your voice, the beautiful simplicity of just the acoustic and vocals, and the lyrics, fuck. It was like having someone hold me. It was the glue that kept me together. I don't know if I'd be here without it. I don't have adequate words to thank you. It will always have a special place in my heart ❤

Dominic, thanks for the great guitar work and perfect singing while playing. I'm looking to cover this tune and needed a good tutorial. I just watched your fingers and used my ears as best I could. Now I don't need the tutorial. I also do "I See Monsters", it's one of my favorites to play. Same key too.
