amazing feather.
Thank you! Your videos are EXCELLENT!
Great presentation for a 2 o'clock shot from boat...Keeps fly away from poler. If you can present on backcast you have 10 o'clock, 4o'clock, 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock casts always available from any positiion
Witnessed Mark, 20 years ago, cast a 14" fly over 100' at Shallow Water show. The only thing that stopped his fly was the wall he hit 20' up. He was on to something then and has refined it since. An authority in the streamer casting that needs to get he due. Glad we now have social media to help that. Keep Casting Mark!!!
He's demonstrating really bad tracking at 1:58 and especially at 2:09. That alone would ruin any effort to make a long cast.
Well explained and demonstrated. Regards from down under in NZ.
great video Ray
Well done very informative. Are u using knives from ZWILLING? If not kindly advise what brand. Thanks from Iceland.Have u fished here?
Great loops !
So surprised at the lack of comments. This has been an absolute game changer in my casting of muskie flies. Consistently casting 10-12-14" flies between 60- 80 ft. I found out about this through Gunnar Brammar's videos.
I bought feathers off Bill on ebay. We both live in the same area. He called and asked if he could hand deliver them which I obviously said yes to. You can tell he's a nice dude.
Just pulled out my norvise after 6-7 years , great presentation thank you
Left a comment on the other video. Wondering where to purchase some saddles? Thank you!
How do I purchase some of these saddles? Would love to give them a try!
Go ray!!
Twenty-Five years ago I was a pretty serious squash player (well, okay, in my own mind). Now that I'm in my seventies and trying to improve my casting, I suddenly see the parallel between what you're saying and a backhand squash stroke. I can't wait to try out your tip of turning the reel to the outside! Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make this video and pass it on!
But aren't you making the casting plane in a curve rather than 'flat' with turning the body?
🇪🇨🇪🇨💯👍
Excelentes lances de caza amigos saludos
It is wonderful to see a team, unused to driven game suddenly realising what they are up against and being careful and flexible enough to make a good showing despite it being completely different from what they are used to. Lovely
By the way, We do not "hunt" pheasants in this way in the UK. You were on a "Driven Shoot" with the quarry being Pheasant. The only 'Hunting' we do here is with horse and hounds for fox and deer. Although now we have all moved to Trail hunting.
Thank you for the clarification!!
@@thewanderingsportsmanriver1298 I am being pedantic I know but think it's right to keep the UK traditions as they should be. I hope you return and some more good sport. A
@@raybede I appreciate your help
What a great hunt 👍 Greetings from Finland , we have off season for birds pecouse of winter time. I am habby to enjoy your videos when waiting to next one
Thank you. More coming!!
On many of the game shooting videos I watch on UA-cam, I see they have a drink on break. Is it wine, brandy or some other type of liqueur?
Slow gin
Pleased you all enjoyed the experience of shooting some great Brish game birds. I'm shooting at PrestWold on Tuesday
Loos great. Regards from England
What a treat to watch
Thank you!!
What an amazing experience!!!
It was Rich! Can’t wait to go back. We’re working on a cast & blast trip
Hey! A useful video for beginners, but I would not recommend throwing out the bobbin holder if it cuts the thread. There is always a drill, grinding paste and nylon thread. Maybe it will help.
This is very good advice, although in the video where you are casting, the forward movement is slightly different from the action in your theory. In practice, when moving forward, you do not roll back the rod as much. Anyway, thanks a lot for the advice!
Reall good, Ray. Looking forward to Wandering!
Thanks John We will be wandering together!!
Yum, I'm hungry just watching!
