Philomena Nesci
Приєднався 8 січ 2023
Hi! As you can probably tell from the name of my channel, my name is Philomena Nesci and I was born in 2004. That's a lot easier to say than having to change my age on this tab every year. 😂
I'm a musician among other things, including an unpublished author and playwright... but this channel will mostly focus on my music. I can play the piano, various percussion instruments, the pipe organ, clarinet, rhythm guitar and ukulele, the Irish tin whistle, and I sing! I've also been a guest conductor for the Augusta Curtis Concert Band and I compose and arrange both classical and popular music. 🎼
With this channel you can keep tabs on my recent performances and what I've been up to, as well as some flashbacks to past performances. From time to time I'll try to post videos of my favorite pieces, some funny stuff, and some educational material. I'll also try to keep people in the know about when concerts I'm performing in are coming up!
Thanks for your support! Please subscribe!❤️

Philomena Nesci conducts "Gaudete" arranged by Brian Beck
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!!! 🎄😊
Gaudete - meaning to rejoice - is a Medieval Christmas carol from Finland and Sweden, with lyrics written in Latin. If it were not for the Renaissance scholar Theodoricus Petri who preserved ancient hymns in his book Piae Cantiones, this beautiful song might’ve been lost forever.
The interesting thing is, Petri was Catholic and his editor Jaakko Finne was Lutheran, so all the words got changed. It took time for scholars to restore the lyrics to their original form. But since this is an instrumental version, hopefully Petri and his editor can both “rejoice” listening to this festive arrangement from the other side!
This piece features Judy Ligas on trombone, Alanna Neville on Euphonium, and Carriana Sperry
and Cory Wooley on French horn.
To watch the entire concert filled with other fantastic Christmas songs from around the world, conducted by JC Caillouette, myself, and my fellow guest-conductors Jeff Howey and Michael Roche (and to catch me playing in the percussion section!) check out the full concert playlist here:

Great job… That was beautiful!
You did a beautiful job.☺️💖 Passionate and talented performance as usual. You put your heart and soul into every performance. Great job! Love you lots ❤️💖❤️🎶🌟
Great job Philomena!!! I am so glad to be able to see this performance I missed. ☺️ The word Fugue always makes me think it will be a somber and dramatic piece for some reason lol. It turned out to be quite a peppy piece but sounded complicated to play. Amazing job sweetie. Love you lots ❤️💖❤️🎶🌟
Awesome!!
Fabulous job playing all the high notes in your duet!!! I loved this concert. Love you ❤️🎶❤️
❤❤❤
Conducting is one of those arts that is just so beautiful, because you're communicating the language of music, and letting it bloom into the world. I've gotten to conduct quite a few of Robert Sheldon's pieces, and he never fails to impress me with how moving his works are. You did such an amazing job! :)
Awesome job conducting!!! It always brings me pure joy to see you perform. I'm proud of you for all your hard work and dedication to your craft, your school work, and your many jobs at JC Music. Even if you gave it all up tomorrow, it would never stop my love for you or my admiration. Many blessings to you sweetie. 🙏🏻 Love you lots 💖💕🎶🎶
Beautiful ❤
Great talent ❤
Such a beautiful job sweetie I love it ❤
Thanks Aunt Jul !!! ❤
Thanks Aunt Julie ❤
Philomena, you will never cease to amaze me! As I watch this, I recall your 4 year old fingers on your toy piano trying to push out a melody while you hummed a tune only you knew. Fathers think things like this. Congratulations on completing your first and challenging year at college. I knew you could do it. God could not have blessed me with a better daughter and I thank Him for you! Love, Dad❤
YAYYYY MENAAAAA!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome job!!! Such a powerful and memorable piece. You played it beautifully!! So proud of you finishing your first year of college. ☺️ Now go get some sleep!!!! 💤💤💤🥰💖💕💐
I met your parents today! They were buying shoes at skechers im the assistant manager there, we talked about all your success thus far and I told them my daughter is a string musician in the Meriden school system who has been picked to join some super special events. She starts high school next year and they told me to keep encouraging her in music. And to come join you in future events! I told her tonight all about it and we are very excited to have crossed paths. Blessing in disguise id like to call it! Keep up the amazing work! Look forward to meeting up with you all. Your mom was so sweet ❤
Great job, Philomena!
👏🥰
What a beautiful job you did composing this piece! I like that it's so bright and cherrful. 😊 I'm sure he will be happy listening to this piece you wrote for him. ❤
Please do read the description of this video to learn more about what inspired me to compose Strawberry Patch! 🍓 Also do visit Tomoya Naka's channel to hear his piano compositions as well! 🎹

Great Job Philomena and Paul !
So proud of you! You are so talented. You did a great job talking and conducting. This song is really cool. ❤😊
❤ Great job! Was wonderful to see in person and lots of great percussion parts. Pirates life for all! 😂
Very beautifully played! Thank you!
Thank you so very much!! It is truly an honor to hear words of approval from the composer herself! You have been an inspiration to me for so many years starting in my childhood. You gave me hope that there is still an audience for beautiful music in this world, and gave me extra encouragement to continue my composing! Thank you very much for your praise, which means so much to me! I hope to continue composing and conducting through my whole life, and I hope that one day I can meet you in person, who has given me great hope for classical music. Thank you, Alma!!
What a great performance!
Cool choice!! This was definitely my favorite song from the concert. Lots of cool parts for the percussion section. Reminds me of music that would play in an old action film like James Bond, etc. Awesome job! ❤
Great job!! Getting some Paul Simon and Simon & Garfunkel action going on!! I love the old guy in the back saying "I feel like I'm at Carnegie Hall". ❤❤❤
Well done! Greetz from the Netherlands
Wonderful job! I look forward to hearing more!❤❤
Nice playing. Beautiful song ❤🙌🏼
You will be able to play and feel the pedals so much better without any shoes on, especially for a beginner!! Shoes are NOT necessary! Play a month without shoes and you will never want shoes on again!!
I was the one filming.......... My bad its so shaky........ GGGRRRRRRRRRR
Well done Philomena !!!
Beautiful song and great job! Just so lovely. That organ is so cool too. ❤
This piece is so beautiful and hypnotic. You did an amazing job playing it. Thank you for sharing your talent ❤
