Even with 50%, there might be 8 people out there where he summons the first time and destiny decided he shall not summon the first 8 times for you, so the probabilty is correct again… :-( Just keep trying or wait until your units are better leveled. Yes she needs a crit and has to use the uncommon blade. You should have 80% crit chance at that point, if you use the order in the video. But it is indeed not working 100% of the time this way.

I would really like to do some more, the return for invest is just not very motivating at the moment… :( I can tell you though, that Eldryon and Aethana at Gold I with Calandis at Bronze III will get you to Yaz in the Elite campaign and Yaz at Stone I, Abraxxas Silver I, and the core Black Legion Characters at Silver I will bring you to Thaddeus and all the rare items you need to upgrade Death Guard and Black Legion.

I put that Information in the video (the Psychic Force Conduit splits into two and moves to Indomitus Mirror and Saim-Hann Mirror at 2:28), but did not want to specifically point it out… I guess I should have made it visually more clear… Exp is sure an even bigger problem, but would still be a shame if you farmed the exp books and have no possibilty to get the required items. The shops are not very reliable in my opinion. So if you have not prepared and unlocked all the nodes it will take you additional time to open up the nodes which can take a long time in itself if you have no characters ranked up for that specific campaign…

Well it is not BS, but outdated. That's why I pinned my comment. Since the last patch they implemented the mercy system and got rid of the jar system. While it is now possible to get eight rare items in a row even in a normal node it is very unlikely. In the long run it is still a lot better to farm mirror and normal nodes, that is just how statistics work. Reddit is also full of rant and screenshots without any item after 8 runs, it all balances out in the end... I miss the predictability from the old system though. They said they are still working on the system, so let's see what it will be in the end...

The Problem now (since patch 1.22) is, that it is no longer guranteed that you get 6 Common items from 4 elite nodes. Mery just kicks in after two bad runs… I Need to do the math again, but first need to collect more data unfortunately…

That is true, bad timing for the video I guess. I‘m planning an update, thanks for the feedback! The Rest of the video is still valid though, they just chances the drop chances slightly. It is still guranteed to not be worse than the droprate due to the mercy system…

Thanks for the feedback! It's actually not that easy to answer since it depends on what you are trying to farm. Elite and mirror missions will always be better than farming in Indomitus, but with the other campaigns it's not that easy. You actually can have nearly a 1 energy to 14 gold ratio in the normal and mirror campaigns when farming battle 75, but you will never have a better ratio than 1 energy to 10.8 gold in elite missions. That said, if you farm in zone 1 and 2 for items in the mirror and normal campaigns you will have a ratio below 1 to 11. So it really depends on where the items are you would like to farm.

Yea, bad timing I guess… But the video is still valid even though the jar system is gone now. Everything else is still correct except that the effective % changed for the different item rarities… it still is much better to farm elite nodes and you will still safe energy when trading items. I will probably do an update though…

While you are right with your observation, the average is 4,5 for the Elite missione… ;-)

That is correct! The only exception are the early Indomitus battles for 5 energy. You will spend the same amount of energy per common items there. In every other case it is better to farm items in the elite battles.

This does only count for common items in general! For uncommon it is more efficient to buy the 110BS Energy refill and farm in elite or mirror nodes for the item. It is more efficient to buy the uncommon item though than farming it in a normal node (10BS vs 11BS).

Well that depends on what you want to achieve. For personal account progression it‘s better to build tall not wide. That is, because unit progression is not linear. One gold ranked unit is far superior than multiple silver ranked units. In most events your performance depends largely on your power. A wider roster will only help if it is properly ranked up. On the other hand you should always rank up what is the most fun for you. After all it is just a game and you don‘t need to be super efficient all the time… ;-)

It really does depend on what your aiming for Getting any characters you have use for campaigns to gold 1, legendary, is a bare minimum. Thats about where I've hit with the indom characters before I started taking the time to level others. I now have all eldar gold 1, and am working on who I use for the necron, ork and black legion campaign, breaking through S2 into S3 now. But I've also made it a mission that any extra energy has been going towards characters I can reliably raid for using elite, but are also important for other things, like Isabella, and keeping within their exp cap. Then, after that, it's anything I can reliably raid for to get everyone into silver 1

The devs said that the size of the jar (or fish bowl) is between 3 and 24, so it is easy to predict some values (the 104% has to be 1 out of 24 which leads to 104.17% for shards in elite nodes). Some of them have of course multiple options like the 33% could be 1 out of 3, 2 out of 6, 3 out of 9 and so on. It would just make sense to always use the smallest size to not discourage people. So game design wise it would be the smartest choice. You are right though, the size for 33% could in the worst case be 8 out of 24, which can lead to an unlucky series of 32 empty jars. This would upset alot of ppl. On the other hand I farmed shards for a couple of days for characters and not once did I have more than 4 empty runs in a row. I don‘t think that was a coincidence… ;-) For a couple of cases I was not able to predict the jar size due to rounding since there are many options. I marked them with a * in the table. With the restriction I was talking about the time resstriction. Altough I guess I got the timing wrong… :-( Was probably misguided by the 6h 59m and my brain just noticed the 6h. Have to check again when my request timer has passed. Thanks for pointing that out!

The good news is that it is not really rng! I really appreciate the approach with the jar system. I understand that it feels discouraging when you dont get two common items but you will get two items in the next one (or the one after, depending on th jar size) I assume the jar size for 50% is 4 (could be any even number between 3 to 24 but 4 would make the most sense). So you will have 6 items guranteed in 4 elite runs which equals to 40 energy. With the 75% drop chance in a normal battle you will need 8 runs for the 6 items which leads to 48 energy and with the mirror battles you will need at least 7 runs which equals to 42 energy. Of course as mentioned in the video this is not alot by all means for common and uncommon items but it will add up since you will need so many of these… That said I totally understand just raiding the normal or mirror nodes after the elite nodes are exhausted to upgrade a new Character NOW! ;-)

Thankfully now I'm back on track, released a new video a few days ago and have 2 more in the making right now, scheduled for ~Monday. Less work hours allows me to be consistent 8) Also, animation looks like a total bitch to do, I always thought that there would be some smart tools to allow me to "drag" things or just move them easily (like in PowerPoint), but it couldn't be that easy lol

On that note I would suggest using 18-9 (or 2-1). At least that should be the best middle ground between newer and older devices according to my research. The most viewers are from mobile phones and there you have a 9-19.5 ratio in newer devices including the notch. What made you choose 21-9? Are most of your users consuming on a PC? At least I will use 18-9 from now on but I guess you can argue for both and it will be personal preference in the end… Looking forward to monday then! ;-) Well, you can drag things around in Premiere Pro, but you still need to adjust the parameters to make it look good… I‘m currently looking on how to use presets so one day it will be super fast… at least that‘s my hope…

Sorry to hear that! Do you summon the Inceptor on the razor wire? It usually does take me just a couple of tries to let Anuphet Attack him… If he does always summon in the first round for you and you have more power than me in the video you could also try to turtle up and not killing anyone in the first round so you just have to deal with him and only one summon in the later rounds. Just depends on how strong your units are if that is an option for you… Best of luck!

I just tried it yesterday with a friend on his account and it worked 2 out of 4 times…! If the Interceptor is on the razor wire it still works very consistently. But of course not every time… Just keep trying!

@@TacticiansUnitedTacticus can be really annoying at times, I’ve tried this about 15 times he’s only not summoned twice. Both of the times an enemy got an unlucky CRIT in Vindicta. The amount of energy I’ve wasted on this is crazy, that’s the problem with Tacticus, not enough energy, I’ve wasted so much blackstone.

@@squishybrrrrt if you have a defensive item for vindicta, try to level that up as well. She might be able to survive the crit then. She never died when I tried, just Incisius did, since he was only at common stone III rank…

Oh no, sorry to hear that! Who do you mean by „her“? If it‘s Vindicta make sure to let her stand in the grass like in the video, so only melee units have all of their hits. You could also level up her defensive item a little if you have one for her. It‘s fine for Vindicta to get in melee range of Anuphet, you just need to use her abilty like in the video. You will have a 80% chance of doing a crit if you are doing the things in the order that is shown in the video. That is because of her „Act of Faith“ ability which increases the chance to crit for each enemy killed by other units. So make sure to do everything in the right order. First turn: attack with Vindicta, then proceed to attack with everyone else. Second turn: kill as many units as possible with your other units, then go for Anuphet with Vindicta.
