Glad it helped! Yea, I remove all items from the units so everyone can use whatever they want and it still should work… 😉 So having items equipped should always lead to at least the result shown but can be better (especially if someone does a critical hit)

I actually did exactly that for Titus, but the reception was not very good… 😒 The encounters after common were mainly skipped, so I thought I'll spare me the effort this time and focus on what really everyone should have… 🤔 To get 1 medal in the legendary battle was fairly easy with Silver units this time and I don’t even know if getting 3 medals would be possible this time, since the legendary stage is very open and the Tau have to many flying and ranged units… 🙈 Maybe I'll do it again next time if it is really wanted… 🤔

@@TacticiansUnited Maybe, you could build a guide in 2 parts : first with Iron only trying to go as far as possible (targeted toward early beginners), and second part with Silver trying to carry on further (targeted toward the rest of the players that don't have the ideal roster for the event, beginners or not). You know better than me what your audience is, so I'll let you judge that. Personally, your channel is the one that proved to me during Titus Quest that Legendary Tier was within my reach. Only based on parameters I can explicitly control. No lucky requisition, no previous HRE/LRE required. So this time I expected it to be the same, but with the add of a strong restriction on your team (Iron only), it halted their progression too early to my liking. I know my suggestion means more work for you, though ^^

Ha, I just said exactly that to Nandi a couple of minutes ago... I'm most likely going to split it into two parts next time with the split between Iron I and Silver I you mentioned and then see where it goes... I probably would have done it this time too, I just ran out of time with Christmas around the corner... I actually already figured out how to get 3 medals in the legendary stage for the next quest with Silver I units, but I had to include one other starter unit , not sure if everyone leveled that one up to Silver I though... Btw, I only know my audience by talking to it, so every feedback is much appreciated, thanks for taking the time!

@@TacticiansUnited That's great to know that you'll go the direction of "another team takes over" :) Whatever character/level you add (beside Ultramarine), you'll lose a few people on the way. Your video will still be beginner friendly if you split in 2 parts (ultra beginner-friendly / late beginner-friendly). As long as you stay in the range of "required campaign characters silver at most", you'll stay on the main path of every players. And maybe if you like to work under constraint, try to win with the "most probable other starter character that everybody has". That way, you'll reinforce the theme you had been working on lately : while other content creators show the way to max out every event to the roof, you show the way to never get under the floor. If you want a feedback : You've shown me you know what you're doing when under constraint (choreographing a bullet-proof ballet with under-leveled characters at Titus Legendary Tier, exploiting the enemy turn order to squeeze the most tanking out of under-leveled Incisus at Hollan Rare 3). Whenever this game tries to make me feel miserable, you are my go-to security net, now.

@@TacticiansUnited I love how your focus has so far been on players with underdeveloped rosters whether they are new or because they don't spend, or some combination of both. I don't think I'm either of those at this point because I've spent a stupid amount of money trying to build a roster in the last six months that can do it all, and have mostly achieved that goal. When I started Tacticus, my first and last mobile game, I came into it blind. I saw a Reddit ad while I was laid up in the hospital and thought "I love the 40K setting and turn based anything. This will be right up my alley. And my wife plays Candy Crush, how hard can this mobile game be?" TA was a wake up call. I got fucking drilled. I didn't get it, it was so different from the Indomitus campaign, Onslaught, Salvage, Arena, etc. Now that I say that, I think that would be an amazing video or series of videos. TA, I think, has ended more Tacticus careers than any other game mode. It just crushes the soul of new players who have no idea about rarity caps, overwatch, pierce ratios, etc. etc.

I can relate to the hospital story... Hope it was nothing serious! I actually thought about doing some commented TA fights... Tech Priest Fred covered most of the basics 4 weeks ago though, so I stopped thinking about it... Maybe I should give it another thought...? What about Guild Raids, you are all set with these too? Well I have at least one idea for the future that might be beneficial for you as well... Just takes some more effort and research to finish... :)

@TacticiansUnited, currently my biggest problem lies in the Saim-Hann Elite campaign. I only have Calandis S3, Aethana G1 and Eldryon just reached G2, and I'm getting my arse handed to me. The furthest I got is mission 16, and I fully expect the next ones to be just as bad or worse. What levels should I have with these chars to complete the campaign? It feels like having Jain Zar or Maugan Ra would help me immensly, but they're like 5 months away.

It really depends on the specific stats for your units. I know for sure that it's very possible to beat everything up till 32 with S1 Calandis, G3 Eldryon and G1 Aethana though... Up till 24 a S1 Calandis, G1 Aethana and G1 Eldryon will be enough (I remember doing it on my own account... ;) ) If you have trouble with something specific, just send me a email!

I think that depends on the character. For those you need anyway for the elite campaigns I agree, but there is no benefit for upgrading beyond what is necessary for the elite campaigns. A good example for that is Varro and Certus. Also it’s way more efficient to get the first elite missions done with silver units so you can farm the rare items in the elite nodes to further upgrade your units…

I agree, but I did not choose the ranks, they were sent to me… 😉 So I had to use what was given and your strategy does not work without a G1 Eldryon… 🤗

Wow, nice catch! Glad that you found it, I'll make sure it won’t happen again! I used of course a marketing build to rebuild the rosters I was send and it seems that if you let him apply ranks automatically, he'll add the first row of items too (even when that is not possible due to ascension restriction...). So, the stats are from Silver I, but ascension is Epic (which does not affect the stats and abilites were not used) and the first 3 upgrades are given... Thank you so much for pointing that out, I need to be more cautious next time! I tried the solution now with the real stats, and I'd advise upgrading the pauldron to at least lvl4. The bigger problem is the damage numbers though, that made overkilling far less likely... Best bet is giving Varro and Certus a crit item to increase the chance. Took me a couple of tries, but then the approach finally worked... The solution is far inferior than I thought it was though... :(
