We really enjoyed revisiting this game. I was worried about the controls feeling outdated, but it honestly wasn’t too bad.

It sounds really proper hearing through CRT tv speakers.

Both are classics. I had Episode 1 racer on Windows 98 and using a flight stick was so much fun back then. Perhaps I’ll record a play through of the N64 version since I still have it

We struggled with that one too. You definitely want to catch the comet for the robot. The cabinet is definitely a quarter eater.

Funny you say that. I had the same experience with this game when I rented it…However, playing through it this time wasn’t as brutal as I remembered.

Agreed! This one was out of the homies original collection, so it was new to me... They carried most of the load here, but I enjoyed the playing through the first level, the combat system, and the death animations.

As long as the tv has white and yellow RCA inputs any vcr should be able to hook up

Honestly… I’m asking myself those same questions. This is the first time I’ve tried selling a CRT, so I am trying the eBay thing. I will say that shipping these things are expensive and a job in its own, so sell locally if you can. As for gamers being the only demographic I would say that’s pretty accurate. I often sell vcr’s but they never want the crt next to it. It takes the right buyer for sure

Great question and thanks for bringing that to my attention. After further investigation… my fear is that a remote will be needed. I will do a follow up video after I source a remote.
