been there, done that. NOTHING on a truck/bus is cheap to fix. Back in 80 they still thought if a bus pulled up and parked, the Manson family would spill out. NO ONE wants to see a bus parked near em. #2 problem, 5 mpg being #1. WHY head north IN WINTER???? you can park up at my place on the Gulf if you are in the area. Good luck. LOTS of storage space under the floor, ya mighta noticed :) YEAH prob #3...those things have suspension made for a load of 40 kids...LOTS OF BOUNCE if not loaded down, stuff will get pitched onto the floor. See Rolling Homes they had to use zinc I think in stained glass, lead just fell apart with the jolting live suspension. Definitely put in big water, waste tanks to add weight.

I use to have a cat that would do that in the house and in the car!!!

I am 44, I did this 22 years ago in a couple vans with good friends and my husband a few times. We broke down more than once too! We had to sell a van in Arizona after breaking down once we got on top of the mesa! But I had so much fun. We had a dog. No AC. My husband and I are still together. We travel all over the world now. I wish you the best of luck. I remember driving under the arch too. I hope you have a blast. I think you guys are awesome. My friend and I want to do this in a bus when we are older ladies. You make me so happy and bring back memories!!
