#chess I played the Jobava London against the French Defense on chess.com. It was a good game with the opponent falling for the queen trap. @ShirouPlayss I fight till the death! I brought out my inner Magnus. It helps when they give me pieces. 900’s are kind of funny sometimes if you lose a piece and you can’t recover but others they give you all of their pieces. Even that move I made to try and lure the rook off the back rank was a blunder and the evaluation bar just plunged. If he would’ve ignored the bishop he could’ve won.

Stockfish is a 3500+ rated computer and no human can play like it. I see so many streamers worry themselves to death because they dont understand computer line. If you have the memory to remember all the winning lines that you study with an engine and apply them in otb tournaments, then you will soon become a gm and be on kramniks hit list. Alex Banzea teaches how to play against humans and create positions that will cause nervous breakdowns. Now that is exiting chess to me. Ginger gm Simon Williams also hates engines, yet plays very exciting games. Tal made unsound moves according to computer, yet it would take too much time for a human brain to refute, and won many brilliant games. Forget about engines until you learn the basics of chess and reach a rating of 1800 + and use sparingly for study only. Unfortunately you will encounter alot of cheaters, but that is a permanent curse of online chess and all you can do is play your best and move on. Great game and a classic Jobava win.

@@shahmatsimplex4144 Thank you for your advice! Right now I’m using stockfish to teach me the first few moves and get general ideas in the middle game. I still love watching others talk about the openings too. Something I did learn was that when you start the Jobava London and they start a king Indian or something similar…it’s actually best to play the 150 attack, which Alex Banzea actually plays in his personal games. I think it’s good to get into good habits early. I’m not going to be “solving” chess or figure out all of the lines but if I come across an early checkmate line I will memorize it. Mostly stockfish is going to teach me the opening and not make a gross mistake on move 4. If I can get a good position in the opening I should be able to carry it through on my own. I do stress people do lots of puzzles as well because stockfish can only teach us so much of the opening. I’m going to push myself this week to play many games and try to get above 1000 by next Friday. I do think I’m better than where I’m currently at but I haven’t been playing enough games. If I can get on Kramniks hit list I’d take it as a badge of honor! 🙂
