You Won't Believe How Easy V Belt Install Can Be
Dad had a slipping power steering belt. These old classic cars have v belts. So I went ahead and changed them all. Check out how I installed them on his vintage buick.

ksp cruising with the cruisers 2024
Переглядів 14621 годину тому
We took a dads buick regal to the annual cruising with the cruisers show hosted by the kentucky state police. Dad had a absolute blast. Quite a few vintage cars and trucks along with whole herd of mini trucks. Take a gander as I walk through and check out the rides. Remember this car show is for a excellent cause as well.

I'm the opposite I don't really like serpentine belt systems with a V belt system if I lose power steering because the belt broke it doesn't put me stranded on the side of the road
@@outdoorsmansgarage that's a good point
Nice intro! I like the video!
@DentedDreamsGarage thanks man. I'm getting better just free time isn't as much as I'd like
@@jeffreyrigged just more practice. I'm continually changing how we do our videos. All an experiment
@@DentedDreamsGarage yes it is
Hell yeah dude! Congratulations!
@MrMcpg thanks sir. So glad he won.
@@jeffreyrigged if anyone deserves it it’s yall. But remember, the most important things in life arnt things 🫡
Beautiful ride, I had a 77 cutless yrs ago that I miss dearly, congratulations ❤❤
Personally, I've never really liked the lowered look. Especially when it ruins the ride of the vehicle. However, I can certainly appreciate the work that goes into some of these vehicles, regardless of ride height. I can't imagine the time it took to polish that Metro step-van!
@2coolwheels139 i like a static drop like a 3/4 but that said some of those definitely where nice jobs. Especially the step van.
Howdy brother, I met you at the car show today, your channel is lookin good man, it’s like shooting a basketball just keep uploading eventually a video will go viral. Good luck to your channel man if anyone can do it, it’s you. I subbed
@@MrMcpg good to meet you guys. I appreciate the kinda words
love the blue 70 chevelle
Sorry mate but that sheet metal is a pos, you want be happy with this stuff.
@@lucyferek why is that
@@jeffreyrigged well for once it's crap metal and you will be miserable welding it, than it will start to rust faster than you can say "would you rather have a Buick" 😉 I would rather go to a junkyard and score some hood or roof of a car. Keep up the good work. 👍
@@lucyferek well how is it different than what a hood is just curious?
@@jeffreyrigged Jeff i am not a metallurgist by any means but my experience shows my that metals are made different for different usages, so for home appliances you don't need good stuff which will hold to road conditions. Look i am here not to discourage yoi feom tryong things, maybe i know shit maune not. But working with cars for 30 years thoight me that there is good stuff and poor quality stuff. Around where i live they say that the best patch material is sheet metal from Vollsvagens passats circa 2000. Well i kmow for a fact that my Riviera still has its sheet metal from 1966 and my 2000 daily is been eaten away. But you know, like they say " to each their own" 😁. Peace ✌️.
@@lucyferek Yeah ive heard mixed ideas on using the metal. This is a 25 yo dryer so its the thicker metal. As for rust you may be right. I will say we had a old dryer that set outside for about 30 years and never rusted though but ive had newer fridges get surface rust on the doors. Idk ill give it a shot. You can laugh at it at least if it dont work out.
The mice had a hay day under the hood of the 1989 Ranger I pulled out of the weeds. The 35 year old fuel injectors were a bugger. Good luck and I’ll be watching to see how it turns out.
Those were super cool cars back in the day!
@@Timmy_Forget still are to me
I remember those cars they were pretty quick
@outdoorsmansgarage it's a flat 6 awd I think they are pretty fast
Should be a fun little car when you're done. And I think using the old dryer is a great idea, recycling at it's best. By they way, congrats on getting over 500 subs! It's the first step to getting monetized.
@@2coolwheels139 yeah I'm definitely growing
I have a 2011 Cruze, it’s the best car I’ve ever had, it’ll last him forever if he takes care of it.

Run header plugs. No weed Wacker. Those were wrong plugs anyway. If you can find r45 in shorts these are a better bet. Obviously timing is a concern also
@jeffreyadkins5014 it has a healthy cam. I need as short ad they come. This thing is tight on the middle plugs.

@Timmy_Forget it was. Attendance was down some but I still enjoyed it.
That’s my green 1959 Edsel at the 44 min mark 🥰 and my daddy’s black 1960 Edsel beside it! Great video!
I really loved those cars. I appreciate it. I will have another from saturday as well as soon as I get a min to edit it.
So cool! <3
I've been down that street a few times (we've visited Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mtns twice)! Some great cars and trucks!
I go almost every time. Im only a few hours away. Attendance was down this year sadly.
@@jeffreyrigged It's a tough time of the year. Back to school, sports, and all that. I wanted to go to a C-10 show on Saturday, but I was stuck in the garage doing rewiring work. Had it on the calendar for months... ah well.
@Rustrevivalgarage well the city has implemented a bunch of things that has hurt it as well this year. Been to probably 20 some rod runs and this was least attended one I've seen. Hopefully they realize it by spring. Still alot of nice cars.
Seems we were both in Pigeon Forge this weekend!

My mom bought a pretty blue cutlass just like that. We took it to the car wash and all of the paint was stripped by the power washer. Then we had a brown cutlass.
Dad had another 77 regal that was brown when i was 7 or so.
Pretty nice crayon drawing!
Back in my younger 20's I used to rent a house right on woodmere across from the cemetery... Good times
ooh brings back memory of some of the old Buicks I've had. And thanks to Mr Buick so much easier watering my grass because of that sprinkler he invented and to be able to soak in his other invention a porcelain tub after A hard Day's work. rusty water would suck lol just a little Detroit humor 😄
