Have you ever tried living one day of your life with your eyes closed? Ever wondered how a blind man cooks, cleans, gets around, lives?
The goal of my channel is to educate; to prove to not only sighted society that blind people can live independent meaningful lives, but also to offer inspiration and encouragement for blind people who may need a little push in the right direction

My 9 Month Old Has a Lot On His Mind
I am blind as well and I’m trying to figure out how do you get your subscribers in views? I am thinking I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know how this UA-cam thing work really so I need some tips on how you edit upload and get views.
I don’t do anything special, I’ve watched some of your videos. You doing everything right, UA-cam just has this annoying habit of picking and choosing.
Luca is so lucky to have you as his loving dad, Jon. I love these videos! I love the last one where you were showing his wake up routine. That was so fun to watch, too! I hope you and your family are trying to stay warm this winter. It has barely started, and I'm already longing for summer.
Thank you. Yes it is getting cold here now, it takes us an extra 20 minutes to get out the door because of all the layers. I hope you are enjoying winter. Lol.
Luca is sharing food with so much love. He's such a thoughtful baby. I'm sure you're a proud dad for raising him so well ❤.
I sure am. Lol thank you. He is very good with sharing food with us.
Jon...thank you for sharing and keep the videos coming!!! I am working with two new first time parents that are both blind. I am learning Apollo much from them! Is your wife blind as well?
Thank you for the comment. There is a playlist on my channel where I specifically post blind parenting videos. I hope things are going well and congratulations to the parents you were working with.
Great video man! I have a question: Do you find it more difficult with the emergence of electric cars, because they are often far quieter?
I sure do!
Thank you for sharing your blind views I’ve always been blind and I have four kids sometimes it is a struggle because of the blindness, but somehow we get through it gracefully babies bringing so much joy💜👩🦯🤗
Wow, I cannot imagine having four
Thank you for sharing. Seeing little Luca play melts the heart 🥺❤️.
Oh man. Feel better soon! I had one of those colds for a while, while I was in California training a client with their service dog.
Wow! Where did the time go!? It's pretty cold here in Wisconsin, but whatever snow has arrived has melted pretty quickly. So I definitely do not envy you. Stay warm.
Haha thanks
Do you know how to stop voice-over from playing on the speaker? We want to keep voice-over on the paired device and just play music on the speaker.
It makes me so mad how people just walk up to help you (like they are being told to as their job) and instead start trying to pet or distract your gorgeous service pup there. I have a seizure alert service dog, I know the feeling. It’s so annoying! I’m not sure why people can’t leave well enough alone. What a good way you handle everything though! Thank you for the video.
❤❤❤
Have another drink, Garfunkel
Great video😊😊
Awww! I can just imagine your little boy watching these videos and probably others when he is older. I wish I could go back and watch videos of my childhood, but they don't exist. Anyway, so fun to hear Colleen interacting with Luca.
Hi Jon, I'm quite a bit behind on UA-cam content. But this was so fun to watch! I hope you all are doing well. I cannot believe that your little boy is… Almost 2 years old! How is it that time has flown by so quickly? Anyway, things are buzzing around here. I am Not a parent, ha ha. No kids for me, now or ever. And I currently don't have any kids that I am working with professionally, which kind of makes me a little sad. But I am raising a service dog prospect for a lovely customer in California. The service prospect is a rat terrier who will grow up to be about 18 pounds and will be trained to do medical Related tasks. Definitely lots going on around here, and this will be the last service dog prospect that I raise for someone else because I very much need a break from raising dogs. But I really enjoyed doing it and knowing that I'm making a difference for the lives of others. Hope you all are doing well, and give your big four legged partner and extra scratch for me!
Fascinating video!
Nee Nee lol
Haha
Looks like I need to buy a different nonstick frying pan with an actual lid because my current one doesn't come with a lid.
You can flip a plate over it, that's what I do when I'm making fried eggs or omelets. However, depending on your plates, they might get too hot to handle. In that case, just use heat-resistant mits/gloves to handle it.
i have cat but its gone😢
Hey @BlindManWalking, I’m #BlindManCruising and your video help me decide to buy a GoPro 10. I currently run a cruising podcast, but I’m also starting to do videos as well and have released my first one and would like to thank you for the information on your videos that help me do it. if possible, I would appreciate a link to your iMovie accessibility video as you seem to have a lot of videos and I haven’t found that particular one yet. I also can’t find the link that you said you had posted in the notes but that’s just me. Anyway, keep on going. Cheers
All this time and I never knew that voiceover could work with iMovie and logic Pro. Better late than never. Thanks for the video.
te. Te amo mama
I love Niesen! ❤
Congratulations on your nuptials Jon & Colleen. A little bird told me it was a lovely wedding....
lol thank you!
Much more descriptive than I would normally detail. Very effective...
Holy shyt ❤
I had a bad day, but this cutie pie made me smile and my heart is now full, hoping I'll also be a father one day ❤..
You seem like a fantastic dad, your son looks like he’s thriving. God bless you and your family, wishing you the best.
Thank you.
Those nice people at the coffee shop truly radiate the sense of community! You and your family seem to be well liked in your neighborhood. I love these videos that you put out, so please keep them coming :D
I have been watching your UA-cam videos often on for several years. I started before you and Colleen had your son. I am a Seeing Eye graduate, and I enjoy watching how you interact with your dog. I especially impressed with the fact that you do not rely on treat except for on rare occasions. Rather, you want the dog to work for praise and affection. Good for you. I also enjoy how Effectively and with no fanfare demonstrate that a blind person is perfectly capable of caring for a child. Again, kudos to you.
Thank you.
I love watching your videos and I am hoping to go on the list for a guide dog later this year or next year.
Thank you. Best of luck.
This video made my day. Thanks for uploading. It's awesome to see you guys having great moments together. Luca's hat is so so cute. Even his presence in the video is such a joy ❤..
Our pleasure!
Hi Dear, hope you are well. Are you looking to grow your channel organically? In order to attract the right audience to your channel and grow the channel day by day, I have noticed several external and hidden problems in your channel that need to be solved. Kick for details
I love this! Definently going to do this with my guidedog when I get him
thanks for this video!! clever doggy
Hi John another great piece on guide dog info, we don’t use targeting we just use the phrase orientating which is just another word for the exact same task. Keep these uploads coming there great educational videos kind regards Jeff AKA blind advocate
WHAT a good boy
Is the kid also blind?
Can you make a video on how you change a poopy diaper blind? I dont know how you would do that 😂
He's really cute! Happy for you that you got him. My son is already 14.
Hi John wow where has that time gone! Luca is gorgeous. Sending peace & love to you all. A belated Happy New Year ❤🇬🇧🙏 that is wonderful to hear about his sight 🎉
Thanks and happy 2024!
Hi John I didn't know Luca has been ill. I hope he gets better soon. Peace & love from the UK ❤🙏❤️
Hi there. He is good, but hast to go for regular check ups.
@BlindManWalking Ah okay. I hope you're all well
Hi Jon, Season's Greetings and all the best in 2024. You might remember that I'm a puppy raiser for CGDB. I watch your channel as I love to see you and Neesen work together and the wonderful bond you have. I'm also enjoying watching you with your son and that's a whole different level of bond. Anyhow, i would like to offer you the services of a dear friend of mie, one who is a wedding officiant. I've spoken with her and she is available on the date you mentioned. As an added bonus, she is a puppy raiser as well and has successfully raised 4 puppies that have gone on to be guides. Working on her 5th right now. So that being said, she wouldn't be phased by standing in a dog park. I can provide you with further information if you'd like. Take good care, Nancy and Sheba (my current CGDB puppy)
Hello Nancy and Sheba, and a very happy new year to you both! Thank you for your nice comment! I would love to hear more about your friend as we are definitely looking for an efficient for our wedding in June. Take care, and I hope to hear from you. Cheers.
Hello, and happy new year! I would love for you to pass on your information to me regarding your friend. Cheers, and thanks.
HiJohn great upload I hope your wife to be is OK after the accident, was it a motor bike or a pushbike? It sounds like a motorbike if your car was written off. I too dislike insurance companies as they are quite happy to take your money but when paying after an accident its like you want one of their arms or legs or draining their own personal bank accou nt, here is wishing you have a great 2024 for you and your entire family all the best Jeff AKA blind advocate
Thanks Jeff and happy new year to you as well. It was an E bike that ran into the car. All are well.
hey, your channel and your video content are good...but there are many problem.
Oh man, does time just seem to speed up? I can't believe that Luca is eight months already! I remember when you were just telling us that you and Colleen were expecting. Goodness! Anyway, it sounds like you guys are having a blast. I'm sure being a parent has its challenges, but that's like anything else. I always get a kick out of listening to you talk to him. The love and your voice is very apparent, and your little boy is one lucky guy! He's going to grow up with a fantastic role model, that's for sure.
Youch! That same thing happened with one of my previous guide dogs, and yeah, it was pretty painful. I'm glad you're big guy is doing better. I say big with a grin because I know Louie is even bigger. You guys have ice already? If there has been ice in Wisconsin, I have missed out on it so far, and I'm not complaining. I was in California for three weeks, I came back to Wisconsin a week ago, and I'm coming back to California for Christmas, then again in January to deliver a puppy. The Moo dog has been brilliant. He has worked through three super crowded airports, and San Francisco is a breeze for him. Anyway, I hope you guys are doing well. I have some videos to catch up on at some point I love the sound of Niesen's jingle bells. I need to find some and put them on my dogs. The little ones like to chew them, so the jingle life of their bells is very short-lived.
Luca likes to call over and play with the bells on his collar lol Sounds like you’ve been pretty busy
Glad he is feeling better....I'm sure the snifari helped offset the dog park disappointment....
