How to make a Hunting Boomerang out of Plywood
If you want to know How to make a Hunting Boomerang out of Plywood, then this DIY boomerang video is for you. I used plywood to make this boomerang, because I didn't have any other wood at home available, otherwise I would have used defenitely a hardwood to build this hunting boomerang, because it's much more durable.
If you want to know how I made a boomeranf out of wood, check out this video here:
ua-cam.com/video/bDf6QilLXIg/v-deo.html
You have to know, that a rabbit stick or a throwing stick are actually the same thing as a boomerang. For me personally this is just the same name for the same thing. Again, a throwing stick is nothing else than a boomerang and boomerangs for hunting are not coming back.

    What's the application Boss?... When and where do you need a normal fishing pole versus a spear?.... Very cool BTW

    • @RobertLisac
      @RobertLisac Місяць тому

      A normal spear would penetrate the fish but probably not hold it, when you want to pull the fish out of the water. This is one theory, the other is that more knifelike (in this case 4) structures, the more probability that you hit the fish at least with one. I may be wrong.

    Batoning a folding knife like that is a sure way to completely destroy the lock on it. If you absolutely must baton a folding knife do it with the blade half-way closed so the knife makes and L shape and strike only the blade. This prevents damage to the lock. Doing this you need to keep the diameter of the wood small enough that both ends of the blade extend past the edges of the wood.

    What kind of wood do you recommend? Here in Texas I have available hickory, mesquite, cedar most generally. By the way, I just subscribed to your channel. Excellent information and I am looking forward to more. Further, I am setting about making several Yawara according to your directions. I am happy that I already own several very fine carving knives handmade by master knife makers from Finland, Norway, and Sweden. As a side benefit I am hoping that making these weapons will help strengthen my hands and fingers. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and have lost a lot of strength in my hands. Thank you for your excellent channel.

      Hi! I am happy that you droped a comment here. I upload a video, when I have something to say and show and if nothing is going on, then there are no new videos. Look, I'm just a normal guy who likes to do stuff with his hands like you. I guess you can use any kind of wood which is classified as hardwood. The more effort you have to put into your work to carve that thing, the harder the wood. IWith the tools you have mentioned, you can make much better yawara sticks than me. I have unfortanately no idea, if carving is a good idea, when you have rheumatoid arthritis? Maybe it's time to ask a doctor? I wich you strong hands and fingers, a lot of fun while carving a pocker stick and a happy new year. Best regards from Slovenia.

    I think the airfoils on the opposing ends of the boomerang are supposed to be turned the other way. Otherwise one end of the boomerang will always have the airfoil moving in the wrong direction, and there won't be lift, but turbulence.
