How to make a Hunting Boomerang out of Plywood
If you want to know How to make a Hunting Boomerang out of Plywood, then this DIY boomerang video is for you. I used plywood to make this boomerang, because I didn't have any other wood at home available, otherwise I would have used defenitely a hardwood to build this hunting boomerang, because it's much more durable.
If you want to know how I made a boomeranf out of wood, check out this video here:

You have to know, that a rabbit stick or a throwing stick are actually the same thing as a boomerang. For me personally this is just the same name for the same thing. Again, a throwing stick is nothing else than a boomerang and boomerangs for hunting are not coming back.

Lots of fun sayings good job
So beautiful 🤤✊
What's the application Boss?... When and where do you need a normal fishing pole versus a spear?.... Very cool BTW
A normal spear would penetrate the fish but probably not hold it, when you want to pull the fish out of the water. This is one theory, the other is that more knifelike (in this case 4) structures, the more probability that you hit the fish at least with one. I may be wrong.
@@RobertLisac - thanks Boss. I get that. Basically it's for a stream where you can get close to the fish by standing on rocks I suppose 👍🏼
The wooden way of the ninja sensi 😂
Its not a flight, its tumbeling, why ?
Cool vidio
Thank you
Wow, I’ve never seen someone use a hatchet so much! I make arrowheads and have made some tomahawks. Definitely gonna make a club and also a gun stock club
Hey, Mountain Man, nice to meet you here on this platform. Of course I could have used some power tools and the project would have been finished in a day or two, but this way, just working with a small axe forces you to slow down, to enjoy the journey. I have to check out your channel. Best regards from Slovenia.

Great channel, if you cut green wood for the war club, do you do anything special to the wood to make sure it doesn't split?
Hello, very interesting video ;-) Greetings from Germany Fritz🙂
Fantastic video. I really enjoyed watching this.
Thank you :-)
All have ability, learning how to use it may not be so easy to find, these days. *Thanks!* looks fun to try. All carry the Most *Simplest of Tools, TRUTH;* Easy to use, Priceless, and *Powerful Ammo; Share the Wealth.*
It didn't even require two weeks to flatten that curve. Good work.😂
Batoning a folding knife like that is a sure way to completely destroy the lock on it. If you absolutely must baton a folding knife do it with the blade half-way closed so the knife makes and L shape and strike only the blade. This prevents damage to the lock. Doing this you need to keep the diameter of the wood small enough that both ends of the blade extend past the edges of the wood.
Thank you for showing me a better way to deal with a folding knife. This is the great thing about UA-cam, learning never stops. Best regards from Slovenia.
Throw it closer to the ground and parallel to the ground, it will go more steady.
Cool. I am also from Slovenia and love this kind of fun with wood and forest things lol I am quite long in making primitive bows but also other wood things are not strange to me haha 🤪 found this video after two years so it seems you had lots of fun during lockdown 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I am now making shillelagh from Ash which will be long one for hiking and fire hardned.
I love these clubs. Unfortunately I live in a state where it is legal to carry guns, but due to American mob presence 90 years ago, all clubs are illegal to possess. I don’t need to keep an instant misdemeanor sitting around at home when I can legally carry a handgun instead.
Damn get a proper hatchet and bow saw.
Nice job my friend.
Thank you. Best regards from Slovenia
That knee piece could be split lengthways, and make TWO rabbit sticks. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
You need a sharper saw. A guy could ride to Boston on those rounded teeth. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
It's a beauty..
Thank you!
That hatchet is sharp as my ex wife's sparky comments
very nice club design, very well done, new subscriber
fantastic project, nice job, new subscriber
So what is the process of curing or drying the wood is it better to dry then carve or carve then dry could not find any thing and my experience with walking sticks that could be years of waiting just wondering if any one has some ideas I stuck 2 in my chimney see what happens
I carved it "fresh" and it is still today without cracks fortunately. Interesting, this chimney trick, so cool.
@@RobertLisac I just checked them it is interesting I also rub beef talo in it it I don't have mineral oil
@@a234633 this sounds like a natural solution!
It's pretty wild to think ancient people figured out how to catch dinner with a wing . Hundreds of years later we fly the skies using the same shape but bigger and thrown by rocket science.😂
So true! If my surviving would depend on this kind of stuff, I would be dead in 14 days :-). Best regards from Slovenia.
What kind of wood do you recommend? Here in Texas I have available hickory, mesquite, cedar most generally. By the way, I just subscribed to your channel. Excellent information and I am looking forward to more. Further, I am setting about making several Yawara according to your directions. I am happy that I already own several very fine carving knives handmade by master knife makers from Finland, Norway, and Sweden. As a side benefit I am hoping that making these weapons will help strengthen my hands and fingers. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and have lost a lot of strength in my hands. Thank you for your excellent channel.
Hi! I am happy that you droped a comment here. I upload a video, when I have something to say and show and if nothing is going on, then there are no new videos. Look, I'm just a normal guy who likes to do stuff with his hands like you. I guess you can use any kind of wood which is classified as hardwood. The more effort you have to put into your work to carve that thing, the harder the wood. IWith the tools you have mentioned, you can make much better yawara sticks than me. I have unfortanately no idea, if carving is a good idea, when you have rheumatoid arthritis? Maybe it's time to ask a doctor? I wich you strong hands and fingers, a lot of fun while carving a pocker stick and a happy new year. Best regards from Slovenia.
Great job!
Thank you. Best regards from Slovenia.
Yeah, its nice!
Thank you.
What is the range and/or accuracy advantage of this over a "simple stick" ?
Good question. Close rangre probably no difference, but it flies much farther.
The balance when in the air, the longer end adds a shit tonne of impact when the shorter end comes around to strike the target. Regular stick isn’t shaped to carve through air either
Great video!
Thank you.
Its summer and still no video
True... I have a lot of things going on. Sorry

Bike inner tubes are very weak.
True. But this was the only material I had at that time.
You did an excellent job, and without power tools. I saw another guy make a very nice one but he had electric sanders. You should make one with the ball carved like a Fist. I know just from what I've seen you do that you are capable of that.
I bet your wife raised hell with you.
I think the airfoils on the opposing ends of the boomerang are supposed to be turned the other way. Otherwise one end of the boomerang will always have the airfoil moving in the wrong direction, and there won't be lift, but turbulence.
But I do think your craftsmanship is very good, so if you make another one with opposite airfoils, I think it will be really effective
Thank you for your opinion. There are for sure many ways to make a boomerang. I saw many designs, also one that you have mentioned. What I have found is, that smaller boomerangs (like this one in the video) are flying much better and a greater distance. Do you have a link, where your opinion is shown ina graphic way?
great job not showing the most important part...thumb down.
Power tools will take away your connection to the earth in the process of making these tools! Your doing it right! Very Good , demonstrate strength, and knowledge of the well, and confident man! Excellent examples for the youth to see!
Thank you. So true, power tools are taking away the whole "human mistake factor" and the the project isn't such a fun challange. Best regards from Slovenia.
Good job.
