I saw one of your leaders on RAV TV today, who told the listening audience (that could possibly be MILLIONS of people, including MILLIONS of lost souls), that they needed to be saved and to pray: "Jesus I accept your forgiveness," but this is NOT THE GOSPEL folks. THAT won't save a box of cornflakes, okay? WHERE in the Bible can you POINT to and tell us that telling Jesus you accept his forgiveness is the Gospel of Salvation? The TRUE Gospel is in 1. Corin 15:1-4. LOOK IT UP. READ IT. MEMORIZE IT! We are saved by believing by FAITH that Jesus died on the cross for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried and rose again 3 days later, according to the scriptures. It involves R-E-P-E-N-T-A-N-C-E. You come to God with faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ with true REPENTANCE. You repent for the sinner you are, your attitude, your thought life, your drug abuse, your cursing, your blasphemy, your lifestyle, your drunkenness, your lying, your idolatry, your EVIL imaginations, your X-rated movies, your fornication, your adultery, your stealing, your ungrateful, abusive treatment of your parents, your children, your loved ones, the porn you watch, etc. etc. You don't pray to God to SAVE you, then go right back to living like the devil and believe you are going to make it into heaven. Jesus is not this big marshmallow kiss just waiting with open arms to accept anyone & everyone who says to him "I accept your forgiveness," with NO repentance at all for being a scumbag, scoundrel, okay? He is HOLY, He is RIGHTEOUS. It is his BLOOD that you accept as the payment for ALL of your sins, not him accepting you just as you are so you can go BACK to being just as you are and living like the devil and the rest of the world. When you are truly born-again, the Holy Spirit takes up residence INSIDE you and starts changing you into what you SHOULD BE, not what you ARE. Because what you ARE right now, is a godless, pagan sinner on your way to a Christless eternity, forsaken by God forever.
