This charity cook-off aims to support the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville. While not a sanctioned event, the BBQ in Red Shoes follows the rules and regulations of the Kansas City BBQ Society.

Since its inception in 2009 by the Construction Leadership Council of Middle TN, the BBQ in Red Shoes has raised over $120,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville. The Ronald McDonald House was chosen due to its impactful mission, community involvement, and dedicated staff members.
The primary mission of the BBQ in Red Shoes is to cover the annual operational costs of the Ronald McDonald House, which provides affordable accommodation for families in need. While the House only requests $15 per night from families, they never turn away those who cannot afford it.
