Episode 38 - Tecmo Stackers (PS1)
Tecmo Stackers, released September 1, 1997 by Tecmo for the Playstation. I'm a huge fan of puzzle games, so I had to grab this one when it first released. Addictive gameplay similar to Puyo Poyo with chains similar to Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, I was hooked immediately. Lots of fun playing 2-player head-to-head. I still play this one occasionally.

Episode 37 - Keystone Kapers (Atari 2600)

Keystone Kapers, released May 1983 by Activision for the Atari 2600. A game of cops and robbers, excellent side scrolling gameplay. I was hooked on this one the first time I played it. Activision really made some great games for the VCS/2600.

Pac-Man, released March 16, 1982 by Atari for the Atari 2600. I actually played this version of Pac-Man before I played the arcade version as a kid. I enjoyed this quite a bit and then played the arcade a couple of years later and realized how much better the arcade was and how bad this port was compared to the arcade. Episode 35 - Left 4 Dead (XBox 360)

Left 4 Dead, released November 18, 2008 by Valve for the XBox 360. This was one of the games that made me want an XBox 360. At first glance, I thought, what if Doom and Resident Evil had a baby. Lighting fast gameplay, multiple characters to choose from and online gameplay. Valve really knocked it out of the park with this one. Still holds up great 16 years later.

Moon Patrol, released August 1982 by Williams in an arcade cabinet. Another one that I played a lot at the Burger Bar, waiting on the Track and Field machine to free up, when I lived in Germany. Addictive gameplay. Took me so long to finally reach point "Z" on one quarter, but finally got there. Still revisit this one every few months for a quick fix.
Episode 33 - Crazy Taxi (Dreamcast)

Crazy Taxi, released February 2, 2000 by Sega for the Dreamcast. The game that originally made me want to get a Dreamcast. I played this in the arcade a few times and thought it was a pretty cool concept of being a taxi driver. A different concept to a racing game. Years later, I still get this one out on occasion and play a quick game.

D, released March 5, 1996 by Acclaim for the Playstation. This was the first real horror game I ever played, right before Resident Evil. The gameplay is a little slow and the game is short, but I really enjoyed it. These were pretty top notch graphics for 1996. I revisit it every year or so.

Destruction Derby, released November 16, 1995 by Psygnosis for the Playstation. Psygnosis released a bunch of games to the Playstation in it's first couple of years. Pretty awesome game for the time. I bought this one as a longbox in the first week of its release. After the demo on the Picks pack in disc, I had to have this one. Soundtrack is pretty nice as well.
Episode 30 - Skate or Die (NES)

Skate or Die, released December 1988 by Ultra (Konami) for the NES. Got this one not too long after release. Being a skater in my teen years, I had to have this game. I've never been real good at it and the control is really wonky for the Downhill Jam and the Race mode, but overall, I enjoy it.
Episode 29 - Time Pilot (Arcade)

Time Pilot, released January 1983 by Centuri in an arcade cabinet. Played this one a ton in the lobby of a local department store growing up. I got hooked on this one instantly. Gameplay was fantastic for 1983. It's still one of my favorites to go back to today.
Episode 28 - Laser Blast (Atari 2600)

Laser Blast, released March 1981 by Activision for the Atari 2600. This was one of the first games on the 2600 that I remember being pretty good at, along with Yars Revenge. I remember having a run lasting 2 or 3 hours at my dad's friends house as a kid. It's such a simple game, but it would keep me entertained for hours on end as a kid.

Wipeout XL, released October 29, 1996 by Psygnosis for Playstation. A great sequel to the original Wipeout. The soundtrack is really good as well. This one still holds up well nearly 30 years later.

NBA Showtime : NBA on NBC, released November 16, 1999 by Midway. A nice follow up to NBA Hangtime with better graphics and sound. Totally forgot that there were fouls and free throws in this one until I played it to capture this footage. I'd love to see a return of an NBA Jam style game.
