The progress of the Cessna Flight Simulator
From a 737 built in the UK from wood, the journey of building a Cessna flight simulator using the Edmonton Public Library 3D printers to make the parts for the instrument panel.
Many thanks to the crew at Edmonton Public Library for the use of the Makerspace and the 3D printers, Captain Bob (Trevor) for his videos of building and configuring the panels and Dave from FlightSimDIY for providing valuable help, 3d templates and electronic circuit boards for the glass panels.

Getting better at flying IFR in the Cessna now, a little trip from Kelowna BC to Cranbrook BC, this one stretched the limits at 12000ft and I needed 2 coffees to keep me going. The ILS approach and transitions plugged in nicely and as always had FSLTL traffic to keep me busy. I do hope you enjoy these videos, I will try to include some behind the scenes stuff as well as the cockpit build and ho...

A short start to the videos, The new 50 in monitors for the side panels are amazing and I've learned some tricks to join them together from a few other channels. hey where did you get the paper template from?
Hey there, have a look for Captain Bob (Trevor), he has made all of his designs and really could use some support :) Thank you for watching :)
Nicely done. Great job. I had better look out as looks like I have some competition !!
Thank you @CessSim, your windows really worked for me, my issue was running MSFS instead of Xplane, the outside view could not be undocked easily. This solution is working for me now :). I'm presently building the standby instruments and Captain Bob (Trevor) has been so helpful. Have a great day my friend :)
great work! Looks like it would be a lot of fun to fly in!
Its incredible actually, my first one was built in wood some years ago and the advent of 3d printer has taken it to a new level.. Thank you for watching :)
That looks to be a great set up and coming along well. Do you think a bit of aluminium tape on the bezels of the tv's will help them blend in? I like a good sim cockpit build.
Thank you @cammy9r , I do indeed have a little tape on the corners to hide the bezels, the roof is believe it or not, the back side of some Christmas wrapping paper, seems to do the job for me lol.. Thank you for watching :)
That’s a whopper set up. Well done. Do the standby instruments work or are they a placeholder ?
Thank you, they are indeed place holders right now and Im in the middle of building all of them from 3d print designs from Captain Bob(Trevor). Thank you for watching :)
OMG SO COOL ❤❤🎉🎉
