For me I use sir Gerald as I'm a free to play guy, I put barbarians first at the exit and buy throwing axes, then develop a mage into a socerer on the bottom row to deal with the champions, and use the elemental against the goblin zappers (they are so annoying), by the tree trolls I already got a musket position near the barbarians with headshot almost fully upgraded and by then a have max out throwing axes and double axes on barbarians and whirlwind getting upgraded, I got a ranger fully max out at the front gates, I also use paladins against the riders they have holly strike and high armor at that point and got healing soon they are position on the east entrance and by the socerer later on, I also got a tesla fully upgraded by the north gate and later around the conner of the east gate, I then got 3-4 arcanes for their teleport and instakil, I then build a wall of paladins for the boss and got arcanes to bombard the boss. Meanwhile I have to always be on the lookout for the zappers and move the troops at the exit appropriately. So do think there is a way to improve my defence

This level was so hard for me and took many tries and it is cool to see someone beat it in a very different way I'm pretty sure when I beat this level I didn't have one Cannon shock weapon lol
